posted a message on Nintendo Direct - Wind Waker HD, Monolith, Smash Bros. 4 and more
Wind Waker was one of my favorite games, and I bought both the 3ds and Wii U at launch so I'm pretty hyped! I'm also glad about the major virtual console sales:)

I may sign up for beta, but probably want buy day one, I just hope it doesn't flop early on like SWTOR did. SWTOR is amazing, but eventually it lost it's concurrent users, and is now slowly climbing out of the rubble. This game looks promising, and I hope it's just as good as Skyrim, Oblivion, Dishonored, and every other Bethesda title!

posted a message on Pokemon X and Y announced for 3DS!
Well, I joined Pokemon in Gen 3, and it was my first game that I owned. I don't know why, but I buy the Pokemon games every year. I bought a Wii U, and 3ds at there launch dates hoping for a 3D Pokemon. I for one thought they should have gone with a 3D remake, because Emerald is one of the best Pokemon games ever! They should eventually stop with the new gen thing, and add 2+ regions to games it helped give Gold, and Silver more longevity, and it was cool. Hopefully it turns out fine.

posted a message on Should I get an XBox 360?
I stuck with Wii, and Gamecube until 2010, then I had to get a 360 for Arkham Asylum. This year I got a Wii U at launch, and it's no better than what I expected from Nintendo, a nice clean user friendly system. Of course I don't need user friendly stuff, but others can easily pick up the controls. I got a black one so I'm set, but if you get the white one get an external harddrive or no digital downloads. Either ways if you get a Wii U you're getting the first next gen on the market. As for 360 I think you waited a little too late to jump on the bandwagon, if you'd like to get one go ahead, but try seeing if you can get into PC gaming.

posted a message on The Universe Project
Well, I've seen this done effectively in Minecraft once. It was on a server called OnwrdCraft. It had the most organized, and best community I had ever seen. You started with nothing, and became something. I joined the second day it was up, and met up with my friend. We left capital city and went into the wilderness to get supplies. After that we met up with player who didn't kill us(PVP was enabled.) We then met up with another group of players who had decided to start civilization where we did. We ended up teaming up and creating the first player built civilization on the server. We had a mine where we sold everything to get from zero to thousands of dollars. We sold plots for money, and actual players would join because of how well built it was. Other player civilizations started too, and every once in a while there was a war between nations. Some were discontinued whilst others survived until the end. Our town grew until we took all the revenue we had and built huge sky island 3x the size of our last town, it was a city. Now, I know this probably wouldn't be feasible in a game like this because of physics and what not, but if they could make it so things like crafting and science, and organized communities could be started, we might have one of the best games ever made. The chances of that are slim though, hopefully this takes off and sets out to be what it is.

posted a message on New games for my community to play. Any ideas?
Some good games I know are Blacklight: Retribution, Tribes: Ascend, and Planetside 2. They are both free to play FPS games, and if done right you could assemble a squad. They are also all free to play. However, if they're willing to pay the best games for squads are Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, and Arma 2: CO, they are both on sale for the next day and a half.

posted a message on What Video Game would you like to see as a Movie?
Maybe a Left 4 Dead (1 or 2) game would be pretty cool. It would also be cool if someone made a full length movie for it in the Source Filmmaker. I started getting into it, but never did. Maybe, I'll get back into it, it's pretty easy to pick up the basics. Also, Half Life 2 would make a good movie, but most movies based on games are horrible. The best bet you could get is a fan film, and maybe partner have them partner up with a company like VALVe as they are very lenient.

posted a message on High-Quality Screen Recorder for Mac OS X
First off your using a Mac:p Second off, your better off getting a new PC, or at least be willing to spend $50. If you want to do Youtube stuff like the pros, it takes investment. You're using a Mac, which has a very good Mic, but Apple computers aren't the best for gaming, especially the laptops. If you want to record, and play high quality games it's going to take some money. A decent Macbook Pro for gaming will set you back almost 2 or 3 thousand dollars. I do suggest getting a Mac Pro, or iMac if you want to do serious gaming on a Mac(That contradicted it selfXD). Lastly, if your on a tight budget, and your really crazy about Apple, then use boot camp like Notch did with Skyrim
You can run Windows and still have that Mountain Lion UI when you want. Expect to spend some money if you want it to be the highest quality possible.

posted a message on ~ My Indie Game ~
First off, maybe get a tech demo running with temporary textures, and mechanics, or just the basics. You should then post a video, or demo to show people what you're capable of. As for help, will you be using a custom engine, or one that is pre-made? You should polish the singleplayer, and then get into multiplayer. If the games promising people will help, and support you so that you can actually get to an actual alpha/beta stage. Also having some trustworthy and knowledgeable friends might help with this process, and maybe consider making it 2D? There is nothing wrong with 2D graphics, and they can be just as capable painting a basic picture as 3D in your case. Hope this helps:)
