    These are why I said 'sometimes'. I heard someone say once that if a puppy and a kitten grow up together, then they won't be hostile to each other. <Just made a sentanse that could make this mechanic way more complex!

    one example is mountain biomes could be MUCH higher and could look more realistic with a much more pointed look and not like gigantic hills with flat tops and too many floating overhangs.

    You did not just say this. Floating overhangs are AWESOME!!! and there should be MORE OF THEM!!!!

    Merging images is actually a feature in Cartograph G itself, you don't need to do if manually (i assume you did it manually but it's not entirely clear from what you said)
    With "Stack and merge renders" in the advanced options you can add multiple layers to an image that are merged into one in Post Processing.
    I, for example, to find the reed sugar cane, had it make a sugar-cane-only render with force brightness on, and on the bottom layer all settings normal except it being at night, so the sugar cane stood out as bright dots.
    I also did this with mossy cobblestone to find dungeons and may make a mob (grinder) trap system centered between 5 close-by dungeons to collect dropped items from all of them.
    Without a mapper like this it's very hard to do such long term planning, you would have to discover each dungeon first and use guesswork to how close to each other they are. Now i can just point to a place on the map on which there's a large cluster of them, and determine below which tree/lake/mountain i have to dig to get in the center of them to build the collection base.

    Could you tutorial this? it sounds like it would be useful, but I can't figure out how to do it.
