You could get a much better build for the same price. Go for an i5-2500k and a faster HDD with less capacity.

If you go to newegg.com you'll find much better prices on parts too.

Sigh... It pulls from the lowest priced merchant, some may be Newegg, some may not. Please look at what it is before commenting...

Outdated graphics card. Get an 6970 at least. The rest is pretty solid.

The 6870 is arguably a better deal in terms of price:performance...

    Quote from MrRube

It looks alright. I would make the same build on NewEgg.com, and see if there are any combo deals. The 750w power supply is overkill for that system unless you plan on getting a second GPU in the future. AMD will be releasing 7850 and 7870 next month which will probably reduce the price of older cards, so you may want to wait to see what happens. Also, change your hard drive to a 7200RPM model, 5900rpm will slow down your system.

Drive speeds matter very little, but yes it would be better to go with a 7200 RPM drive.

    That's Objective C.

    Proof please?

    My proof:

"It was developed by Microsoft within its .NET initiative and later approved as a standard by Ecma"

    From the C# Wikipedia article.

I really don't think you want to go down this road with BC...

posted a message on Would an Alienware X51 be good for games such as Skyrim, Battlefield 3, minecraft of course, and other games similar to that?
    Quote from wtoto

So, sir. On a scale of 1-10 for playing BF3 on ultra would this be? I bought the game but my current computer can't run it without extreme lag (On lowest settings!)

You could play on max everything with steady FPS and no lag spikes.

you need no FPS greater then the refresh rate of your monitor (normally 59 or 60 hrz) since your monitor can not display anything higher.

Which is generally why we say we don't measure in FPS, but in this case it will run into a lot of lag spikes, and won't keep a steady FPS on higher settings...

posted a message on So... Using less cores make games run faster?
It would slow you down considerably, seeing as it would push background applications onto the same cores as the program that you are running. What he most likely meant is killing some of the unneeded background processes that I talked about, anyway if he didn't mean that he is a moron.

My explanation is a bit vague, refer to the below postings.

Not while you're being an ass. GTFO if all you got to say is stop. I'm not going to stop. Especially if some punk is "advising" me to. It's shitty advice.

I'm going to learn. Regardless of what you think. If you don't want me to, well tough **** I guess. I'm not going to stop just because someone thinks I should. That's like telling a little kid "Oh don't play any sports you're going to suck" Without even letting him attempt to do anything. Go do something better with your time other then trying to get someone to stop trying to do something. Go code if you actually know how. You didn't even need to post in this thread at all. Kkthxbye

Chill out, you are reacting more aggressively than anyone else, learn if you want to, all we where trying to say is that it may not be the best path to take. I know it wasn't for me, and if you can't learn on your own easily then as BC said, "...you are probably ****ed."

Look we are trying to point you in the right direction, and what we are telling you it that you don't learn just one language and that there isn't one specific way of learning. In fact most people don't even suggest ways to learn because it varies so much between people. I learned by ****ing around with different languages, and for what I use it for I never needed to learn the math and concepts behind it, where as others have started by learning the concepts then the syntax of a language. If you can't head simple advice, frankly, I think programming isn't the right path, because in a professorial environment you need to be able to work with others to get programs to work properly.

**** this NULLED by what ever BC wrote.

That logic is screwed buddy. EVERYBODY has to learn... Asking or trying to learn yourself, which is horrible. I've tried to teach myself before and it just doesn't work. I understand things pretty easily, however if its not explained to me then its like you looking at chinese characters and trying to figure it out without help. (if you dont know it anyways lol)

Python? Thats not what I'm looking for. I don't waste my time learning a language if I'm never going to use it (and the chances of me using python would probably be very low.)

Dear God, python is used like everywhere...
