I would like to help you on this project if you like, check my Port Junon recreation. If you want i could mount a server to work together if you like
Your Junon is indeed extremely impressive and extraordinarily accurate, but as I said, I'm currently occupied and don't have time to work on this for now, so I am deeply sorry.

So what are you going to do about the other plates that were not in-game? Cause ( I am not trying to be a jerk here) I seen other Midgar recreations with the non in-game plates full of plants, or really out of place buildings, which kinda ruins the mood. (Again I am trying not to be a jerk nor am I trying to hamper your creativity.) Anyway just curious of what you were going to do.
I don't have any specific ideas in mind. Unless I get an awesome suggestion, I'm going to continue doing what I started: mixing industries and townhouses. IMO, it does not look out of place. If you have an idea in mind, i'll be glad to hear it!

Are you going to create the slums too? I approve this nonetheless.
Yes, I do plan on making the slums, but it will most probably be the last thing on the list. Thanks!

This is awesome as it is, can't wait to see it finished!
I'm sorry, I haven't been working on this for a while, as I am busy lately with other stuff. I promise I'll get back to it as soon as I can, though!

Holy crap, what a project.. That's insane, it looks awesome!, Very impressive. I can understand it takes time! You must have a lot of patience keeping up with this, and good for you, the result is more than worth it!

Wow, the detail on your City is AMAZING!
Thank you! I just can't wait 'til it's all over!

Man...... this makes me nostalgic .... I want to play that game again now!
Good job. Looks like it has been a fun project. Looks great.
Thanks! Yeah, I must admit that it was fun making this, even though some parts were exhausting.

Sounds good to me!
Parts of it, yes, but many of the parts are actually complete or close to complete.
Nice! I'm going to go watch a few walkthroughs of the game to help me as soon as I start work on the rest of the plates (during March Break!!).
Feb 25, 2013Nice Job with the terrain! Landscaping sure is a pain in survival...Posted in: Screenshots
I'm not sure if you're giving importance for aesthetics, but i feel like a few trees/bushes here and there near the corners might give it a better look.

Considering how little you actually see of the city, this is especially impressive. The Shinra building is exceptionally well done, and the sectors look splendid. You really gave the packed feeling that that city has. I assume you intend to work on the slums as well?
Also, have you played Crisis Core? It shows a bit more of the city. Not much, but it could help.
Yeah, I do intend to make the slums, but I'm gonna leave them for last (since they don't require any particular detail or planning).
Even though I haven't ever had the chance to play Crisis Core, I have used some of the in-game pics as reference. However, isn't Midgar still under construction for that part of the storyline?
Feb 24, 2013If anyone's still interested, I managed to finish the Sector 7 plate. (Yeah, I know, this is going incredibly slowly!)Posted in: Screenshots
I'm almost halfway through the plates...
The Bank of Midgar?
If anyone's got any suggestions for the rest of the plates, please let me know! I don't want all of them to look completely the same...
Feb 24, 2013Is that a naturally generated landscape?? It's incredibly beautiful...Posted in: Screenshots
Anyways, this seems like an interesting project. I like your office buildings, the way you made them look modern, even with the use of wood and planks.
Feb 24, 2013Martnem posted a message on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time And Majora's Mask in MinecraftThat's incredibly accurate and the texture pack you have fits in perfectly. I specially loved the pic with the yard in front of the Forest Temple. Awesome job so far!!Posted in: Screenshots

Fixed your image for you.
Anyways, great work! My only question is what is the (what I assume is) void/empty area in the middle of the mountains?
Quote from Sir_Veillance
Yeah I was wondering the same thing, is there just nothing there?
It's an opening to the underworld. If you look closer to the real image of the map, you will see a tower over there.
