Haruhi may be dangerous, but she would never wish death on anyone.
(Also, Dredmor has killed tens of thousands of people already, so... yeah)

Okay. I'm not a fan of "keep-on-clicking-until-you're-dead" sites that from what I've read shows one guy named John talking to two random guys about mixing hands with cake and putting a Harley Quinn doll on a couch next to a cake.
I'll read it when I'm dead.
From what I've read, you've hardly read 1.5 percent of the story.
Homestuck's plot is like cream in a butter churn; it's all light and boring at first, but as you keep going it gradually thickens, and the rate at which it does so steadily increases until you think it can't get any thicker but it just keeps going and the churn flies out of your hands and explodes into a mess of colours and mayhem and unicorns and carries you away on a magical adventure and this metaphor isn't working properly but I think you get the idea.
Point is, read more, then try again.

Sep 29, 2012Posted in: storeQuote from Homem PigmanSo far it has been okay, but now Citric? Deleting posts that oppose you? You are simply unfit to administrate this forum.
I'd like to respond to this, because it's really not very fair.
I'll start by saying publicly that I am not really for the censorship of swears, but I understand why the decision was made. At the end of the day, this is the Minecraft forum, and Minecraft is wonderful in that it is non-violent, non-sexual, and to some degree educational for young players. I think it's fantastic that Minecraft is such a family game and it makes sense that the forums should reflect a similar family environment.
Now, to your complaint about "censorship", because I think this is important. It's something I used to remind people of back when I ran message boards. Get ready, because this is fairly heavy stuff:
You do not have the freedom of speech.
I know, we all want this freedom, but the truth is that nowhere you go online is going to give it to you. Well, unless you own a site and the server that hosts it. These forums reflect the values of Mojang, and Mojang has the freedom to dictate what is and is not appropriate content for their website. Everyone's freedom is limited to the barriers set forth by Mojang, and that's just the way it is.
If you go over to the Blizzard official forums, you'll notice that topics like politics and religion are strictly banned. The kind of off topic discussion that is enjoyed here simply does not exist there and it is well within Blizzard's rights to limit discussion in this way. That's why the Blizzard forums are no place to go to discuss such topics.
Here, there's very little reason for any swears to be used within the context of discussion on Minecraft. We're lucky here in that Mojang has allowed so many kinds of off topic discussions, including religion and politics. That's why there is such a large off topic community here, which is now the most vocal in opposition of these changes (and understandably so). Because the forums have been so open for so long now, this community has grown and become a substantial part of the Minecraft community even though it's unrelated to the game itself. Because of this, they're the most affected by these changes. At the same time, one can't expect Mojang to cater to the off topic crowd.
Now, the privacy issue is pretty much the same argument.
Do you have privacy? Yes, mostly.
Private messages can be moderated. Members can harass you in PMs just as easily as on the rest of the board. Mechanisms need to be in place to be able to deal with these situations.
Can this be abused? Sure, all administrative privileges can be. But, generally, they aren't. I don't see any indication above that Criticsquid abused his authority.Instead, I just see a rather unjustified overreaction to the realization that your PMs aren't completely hidden from the staff. This is true for anything you use, though. XBOX live tracks your messages and even recordings of your voice chat. Google can view your emails if you're having security issues. There's just no such thing as absolute privacy online, and if there were, you would have no protection from harassment, scams, or illegal activity.
Generally, though, nobody is going to read your PMs unless there's a very good reason for it, and even then, there's only a few people with that sort of privilege. If you don't trust those few, then why even be a member here?
I understand the frustration somebody might have with these censorship rules, but I do not think it's right to paint Criticsquid as the enemy over it. I think he's a very dedicated and capable admin.
Oct 28, 2011Ok people, I've seen alot of topics about "ROBLOX INSULTED MINECRAFT WITH A VIRTUAL HAT!"Posted in: General Gaming
But they didn't, they say that ROBLOX Admins said on the description of the hat that Minecraft is the worst game ever, but that's not true, the tie is called "Ten lives" and it has a Minecraft heart on it, it's a reference to Minecraft's health bar and the thing that makes people think that they're trying to insult Minecraft is the description of the hat, it says "Reality: The worst game evar!", people think they're saying that MC is the worst game ever, but that's not true, they're saying that REALITY is the worst game ever because you only have 1 life in real life(DUH) and 10 lives in Minecraft.
So is not an insult people, calm down, read a book.
Thanks for reading my topic.

it's literally nothing more than a flame war topic and we really don't need one of those.
so, people, stop posting, and let it die. Right here, right now.
