To me, it'll be even better with people to play with like the Mindcrackers do.

I'm also running Windows 8.1 w/ a AMD Phenom 9950 Quad-Core Processor and a Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 just so you know my specs.

Why you wish to join: I've wanted to play a normal server where there was no survival games or anything like that. Just a normal vanilla server with no add-ons or games, just plain Minecraft. It's also because I get bored playing SSP sometimes.

Any added information: I'm a generally relaxed person and may or may not curse. I use what I feel to be professional language. I've played Minecraft for a while and enjoy the redstone logic along with survival challenge. I don't necessarily think UHC mode is good, but I've never tried it before so I'll try it. To be quite honest with you, I doubt sp614x will. Snapshots aren't necessarily stable, nor are they permanent. Optifine seems to take a long time to update and snapshots come out usually around every week or so, I'd say he'll wait for the latest major update before updating his mod.
I've just noticed a problem with some textures using C6 Standard or Smooth.
C4 Standard works okay.

I've only noticed the problem on that 1 BuildCraft texture so far.
It doesn't matter which texture pack I use.

I'd say download manually. Sometimes Magic Launcher messes up. Also an idea would be keep a clean minecraft.jar somewhere you could access it easily, like on a USB or a folder in your Hard Drive. Then you copy and paste it to the bin folder in .minecraft
