    Magical Crops 4 has gone modular, this means you can mix and match parts of the mod you want and don't without going through hundreds of config options.

    10. He's got Patreon and Paypal and 183 pages, it's clearly a big enough mod to have gotten a substantial following, there's gotta be screenshots around here somewhere.
    11. Seriously? The only screenshot is in the banner? What the hell?
    12. Yeah. That looks to be it. Okay then. You have a mod that clearly adds a lot of content to the game, but a thread that doesn't in any way show how that content is added or how this mod differs from any other grow-your-own-minerals mod. I see no reason to even bother installing the mod; I'm out of here.
    13. Really ought to let the mod creator know why I didn't give his mod a shot. It's basic but maybe he just doesn't understand how important screenshots are in visual-focused players deciding whether or not to install a mod, let alone try to troubleshoot it as part of a larger mod pack.

    So that's why I'm here posting this. I will not be trying your mod until such time as I run across it again and find that you have added suitable screenshots to demonstrate your product. Doesn't have to be a lot of pictures if they're good pictures with good lighting and give an idea of what I'd be experiencing, but they're a basic requirement of a decent mod post. (Note: Videos are no substitute for pictures. Screenshots are how I decide whether watching a video presentation is worth my time. I'm almost certain that players look first for descriptions, pictures, or videos based on whether they're an audio, visual, or kinesthetic learner, and ideally you would provide for all three.) One of the things that players are doing is trying to decide which mods not to use, and good screenshots give a quick yay/nay to see if it's worth sticking around to find out more about it.


    Good luck with your mod, though. I hope I come across it later and get a chance to see what it's like.

    You have just shown everyone the reason of why I added configs to disable crops/seeds people don't like, why so angry... it's a mod, nobody here is forcing you to use it.

    If you look at the change log before downloading BETA 3 it will tell you that this will happen, remember BETA is BETA things change.

    I think there is there is a problem with your recipes. I'm having a crash whenever i press "U" to show uses of an item. Removing magical crops beta 2 fixes the issue.

    Mods im using:

    1.7.10-Forge10.13.3.1387-1.7.10,

    NotEnoughItems-1.7.10-1.0.4.106-universal,

    ok so i just crafted the master infusion stone and its name is red and i cant do anything with it. i am running forge 10.13.2.1340 and magical crops 4.0.0_public_beta_1


    Update to BETA 2 that bug is fixed.

    I'm currently looking into it, but if you want a temp fix just go into the configs and change crops replant themselves to false, the farming stations should now work again.

    I've been meaning to release the beta for a while now, and it will now stay in open beta, bugfixes and updates will come straight to open beta, the only betas my patreons will get are experimental versions when and if I do them.

    Half my current base is built out of decorative blocks from Magical crops. That was a horrific thing to put on the chopping block for the new version. I just don't understand why you're going down this route. You don't need to compete with Thaumcraft or Botania.....we love this mod because of what it is at its core. There wasn't anything wrong with the system you had in place. Tweaking it is awesome - and we love that.....but a complete overhaul? With hundreds of blocks thrown out? I hate to use the term "feature creep", but maybe that's starting to happen?


    I'm sorry dude.....I appreciate everything you've done with the mod. It's just super frustrating. So many of us just don't have time to restart our worlds every time a new mod version comes out.


    The thing is that it's still in beat, that means many broken things and many things that are still to be re-added, you should always go careful installing a BETA update as it can and will break things. All deco blocks will be added back, I'm just getting the core of the mod done before I add them.

    I am trying to find out how to make my block check if it has an item/itementity above it/on top of it, like this image:


    So the blue block would check above it to see if there is the sword, if so then carry on etc.

    This is not a cash grab at all, I barely have time to code much any more so Magical crops 4 is a very slow W.I.P and it needs testing every time I change something. In no way am I saying you have to pay to get the BETA, since why would I give it to some packs in the AT Launcher if I wanted to force everyone to pay me to get it. The Patreon it purely support, In no way am I forcing people to support me, it's a bonus for the support and shouldn't be the reason you are supporting me in the first place. If I didn't offer BETA downloads and was still getting the same amount of support would that also be wrong?


    Saying that I will be changing how I do BETAs and Magical crops soon as I'm not getting enough feedback that I need to fix the mod. So soon I will be giving Patreon supports the latest BETA and then the BETA before that I will be releasing to the public.
