Okay, so after a while of searching for this I did find this mod. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/790286-sburb-mod/ which is pretty much what I want, however I can't find an updated version.

Is there anyone out there who could either point me to an updated mod that works with the latest version of minecraft that does this, something similar to this, or could make this mod for me.

    Thank you for reading.

@Bubba Why should one group get paid to go? Those people have been successful, unless they don't have any kind of budgeting scheme, I'm pretty sure they'd of had the money to go.

It's not at all stingy to pay celebrities money to attend something big, in fact I'd see it as the opposite, I see it as unfair, everyone who plays minecraft has probably told some friends about it, therefore I think I can safely say that everyone who has played minecraft has contributed to it's popularity, if that one group get's paid, everyone involved will want to get paid.

It's just not practical, I think Mojang were doing a good thing by rejecting that request, and I say request, not demand, because I highly disbelieve that anyone should demand such a thing.

@Equeon. You do realise that other than Markus, Jens is the only other main minecraft programmer, other members of the group are busy elsewhere, for example, Daniel is working on scrolls, Tobias keeps the website running, then there's quite a few who do art work, someone to balance numbers etc.

I think you don't know how to run a company.

I've never been a fan of the yogscast, in fact, I only heard of them about a month ago. I've been playing minecraft since before it had it's own downloadable version and existed only on an internet page.

How can they claim that they're the reason minecraft is as big as it is?

The only ones who can claim that, are those who made it.

I'm not going to take sides on this, I don't know about the dispute, frankly I don't care about the dispute. I like the game, I'm going to carry on playing the game and I'm going to ignore this entire thing because to me it seems petty and very embarrassing for both sides.

    Good day.

(And honestly, who mentioned that british people communicate by swearing? Even if you're british, that's a pretty racist remark, I haven't heard anyone swear where I live for a good while. It's not common at all, we use words like sugar and fudge instead, I think you either need your ears checked, or you need to move house.)

Sorry for the double post, but I need this to bump so I can find a solution.

Just re-installed Java, managed to get back to the normal rate of 5-10 minutes before crashing, but I'm still crashing. Obviously 1.9 will be properly released soon and the servers will migrate, but I need to be able to play until then : /. I've never had this problem with the recent Pre-Releases or past releases of minecraft, so I'm pretty sure it's a problem with 1.8.1.

@Dark I've started playing in high performance and fast mode with OpenGL on as the sticky states, however this did not help at all, and I'm on a desktop.

@The topic of Optifine, after installing it and testing it on the server, what was normally 5-10 minutes of decent play very quickly became 5-10 seconds. I had time to say one thing to the server members than crashed.

I'm not sure how switching minecraft from application data would help, could anyone explain that process for me.

how much ram do u have? try to give minecraft more of it

Using windows XP, 4GB of ram installed in the machine, but I'm pretty sure WinXP only uses 3 of them, I've tried setting minecraft as a high priority process, but this did not help, as for moving minecraft from Application Data to Hard Disk, how would this be done without minecraft wanting to reinstall itself to appdata as that's where it checks for the files...?

posted a message on Memory Leak in 1.8.1?
Okay, so I've been experiencing game stopping spikes of lag after a short while of playing minecraft, at first I thought it may of been because of the server I was on, than maybe that I had mods installed, however I've not tried it on the 1.8.1 vanilla client and across multiple servers as well as single player and the same thing is happening.

Whilst the game is running, it starts out with 300,000K - 500,000K of Memory Usage, however if I keep the task manager open and watch it, the memory usage climbs, faster on a server than on single player, so far that once it about doubles to roughly 1,050,000K Memory Usage the game lags so much that I have to use task manager to end it.

Everything else on my computer runs fine whilst this is going on, so I really think it's a minecraft issue, can anyone give me any advice on how to fix this game killing problem.

    Thanks for reading.

I've been waiting for some time to hear some news on this completely ridiculous pursuit by bethesdas' lawyers. I've played all of the elder scrolls released so far and it's pretty obvious even to a new gamer that both the games are quite a bit different from each other. Betheda's lawyers have no right to sue mojang, especially with a case as pathetic as this.

I can't even understand why this started in the first place.

alright, what have you got to throw up manx?

Well right now I'm working on a new character skin, but if you want anything specific, let me know. You can also check me out on http://tryskellion.deviantArt.com/ I have a bit of pixel art there, but I'm probably going to make a new account dedicated to it as that account has all sorts on.

Would love to attempt this again at some point, any coders interested? It'll probably be better to wait for 1.9 to be released.... but we could always make it for 1.8.1.

posted a message on 1.8 Updates: Update Date Revised
Even if it were released with bugs, isn't that what we paid for? Notice the great big "BETA" sign? Yea, that's us at the moment, we paid to play a game in development, which means we paid to test it and we are supposed to expect and look for bugs at the same time as enjoying the game. I don't mind that they want to release it with as few bugs as possible, albeit it makes our jobs harder, but I know a lot of people would prefer it if it wasn't being updated repeatedly for the next week following the initial update.

Have fun testing it before release Mojang : )

I'm still on roblox, but I'm part of a crowd of dedicated builders and scripters who still use roblox how it was meant to be used 5 years ago. We just isolate ourselves from anything that goes on else where around noobtopia because we don't want to be a part of that. It's still a good game if you don't buy into it and keep things vanilla.
