I have no idea why I quoted that, I think it was because I was going to say I understand what you meant, and it's okay if you can't do anything about it.
The pre-halloween mineral block uses 3 textures, so it won't work.
The plus-shaped redstone is in terrain.png, but Minecraft displays it as a dot anyways.
And you can turn off the swamp colors if you get OptiFine.
I think you should add the pre-Halloween mineral block textures, the plus-shaped redstone wire(if possible), and maybe try to make it so you can't see swampland biome grass and leaves(I don't like them).
