I'm going to pretend that wasn't sarcastic for the benefit of the OP.

The OP's post was illiterate and sloppy and generally reminded me of the stuff people write while on acid.

    Nice and simple.

That describes 90% of this forum right there.

I once found a seed (I'll be damned if I can remember what it was) where you spawned on a tiny island in the middle of an ocean biome with no tress and only a little bit of tall grass. I had to fly for nearly 3 minutes in creative mode to find another island, and it only had 1 tree.

I wish I could remember that seed. *sigh*

Couldn't you have provided a link for the picture or better yet reduce the size I couldn't even see the "island"

What do you mean a link? Is it not showing up for you?

It may be a problem between my image-hoster and Firefox, as that's happened before. If you could, just switch over to something like IE (Or better yet Google Chrome) to view them.

Tell me if it works. I may have typed the seed in wrong in the OP.

Well, I tried a few random-ass seeds and eventually came across this one:
    "chickenwithalasersword" (Without the quotes)

Anyways, I spawned in a small swamp, turned around, and there was the biggest and most beautiful mountain range I had ever seen:

In a few of those images you may notice that there is not one, not two, but THREE ravines generated together!

The coords are in the last pic.

The pictures don't do it justice. There's so much to find. If you head south, there's even more amazing mountains. Here's a cartographer map:

Well great, it's telling me that my processor type (AMD Athlon Dual Core II M300) is not supported.

Any alternative, up-to-date programs to use?

Alright, I've opened up CPUZ but there doesn't appear to be a temp. read-out in any tab.

I've used CPUZ before to gather specs from an older compy, but I can't seem to find any temp. readouts. Only read-outs for the core-speed. Where is the temp readout exactly?

What temperatures is your processor reaching?

High enough that it's shutting down the computer as a fail-safe. I know it will practically melt the damn thing if I don't fix this issue. Keep in mind, no other program does this and my PC is running fine unless I play MC.

Also, there was a program that allowed you to read temperatures on your CPU. I don't think it worked because collecting that data with software only is impossible, but I never tried it so I wouldn't know.

I bought a fan to put under my compy to prevent this. It helped a lot, but my brother stole it because his computer (The exact same as mine spec wise) overheats more because he has a bjillion porno viruses but he will not admit it. So I can't use the fan. :sad.gif:

I should tell his lazy ass to buy his own.

Recently (since the 1.8 update), I have been having many problems with MC that I have never had before. The most notable is the fact that minecraft overheats my processor from just a few minutes of playtime.

Keep in mind, minecraft used to run fine and 1.9 still does, but 1.8 does this, especially in servers.

I have tried a few things, like starting Minecraft with less memory (using a batch file) and closing all backup processes except necessary ones from the task manager. I still have it overheat even when it's on the lowest quality settings.

So, here's my specs (if it helps.) These were taken from MSInfo:

I remember when I got 1.8. I couldn't run it on max graphics like I did with 1.7.3, but turning off openGL, turning fast graphics on, and setting my render distance to normal solved it completely.

Now 1.9 comes a long and somehow, it puts far more of a strain on my computer. With these settings, lag spikes are still common even in areas that have already been generated!

My PC is capable of running some "minimal" games, (Source Engine, and even more graphically intense games) yet it cannot run MC?

This is due to one thing: It's coded in Java. I cannot for the life of me figure out why ANYONE would code a full blown game in Java, especially one with a theoretically infinite landscape constantly generating. I tried to use a command prompt to allocate more memory, but I get the error "could not create Java virtual machine"

I have 3 gb of ram, but unfortunately, 1.33 of that is in constant use according to my Task Manager. This is ****ing ridiculous! Why are programs that aren't even running taking up virtual memory!?

So, in short, Minecraft 1.9 lags and command prompt won't work, and for some reason my computer is eating up nearly 1/3rd of my RAM even when I have almost nothing running, and I require a fix.

posted a message on 1.9, Is the Hate Really Deserved?
Alright. I'm sure you have at least seen the billions of NPC's LOOK STOOPID threads clogging up the 1.9 discussion like the Bubonic Plague.

But is all the hate towards 1.9 worth it? 1.9 took only several weeks to procure, yet it added new NPC's, items, and blocks. And many of them too! Not to mention an entire new biome and upgrades to various existing things.

The amount of content that has been provided is rather decent for the time allotted. Simply put, the 1.8 update took two monnths but added little content. This one took several weeks to make quite a good handful. Sure it could do with revisions, but all-in-all it's a decent update.

Sure the villagers are derpy and the performance seems to have gotten worse, but I still think it's better then most updates.

Though it may not be the best Mojang could do, it's good for the amount of time given, in my opinion.

I like how everyone's answer to everything in Minecraft is HERP DERP PRE-RELEASE IT MUST GET BETTER SOON SO SHUT UP.

Really? Does anyone remember 1.8? How much changed before the pre-release became the official release? Jack **** as far as I remember. A couple of bug fixes that didn't even patch he majority of problems.

However, I do defend 1.9. For the sheer amount of content Mojang scripted into this one is so little time, it is definitely a breathe of fresh air after the slow release of the underwhelming Halloween and 1.8 updates.

Hopefully the villagers will be changed due to popular demand, and be patient on things like trading and player interaction. Scripting **** like that in Java is not nearly as easy as the modders make it out to be.

The only real problem I have with this update is that performance is so bad it's virtually unplayable. Whenever you're in the vicinity of NPC villages, there's immense lag. It seems like performance when way down hill in this one since 1.8, and it really, REALLY needs to be fixed.

Not everyone's computer can play Crysis, Mojang.

(BTW, the OP here is just repeated ****, but whatever. Wherever I can dump my ****.)
