Personally, and it might sound mean, but I don't think PS4 SHOULD get it. Sony is a company, not a person. And the only real way to convince a company to change is by economic pressure. Minecraft is one of, if not the most popular games ever. That means a lot of customers angry about missing out on features they've always wanted, all due to Sony being stubborn.
Yep. Sony are just too arrogant to care about what their customers want.
Unless ps4 were to suddenly start falling behind in sales which I just don't think will happen then they will have no incentive to start listening to what their customers want.
So expect ps4 to never have cross play with other consoles, servers, user created addons or even infinite worlds because they will probably be too arrogant to remove any save size restrictions.
They could end up with ps4 only realms though
