    I don't know if I'll be making ice weapons. You will have the ability to freeze water into ice blocks with the next update though.
    Currently I'm working on potted plants, as this was requested by a friend. Also travel huts.
    I'm thinking of trying my hand at a new mob though, but I don't have any good ideas, so I'm open to suggestions.

    Here's a look at a new flower I've added for the next update. The moon orchid. Can be spotted glowing faintly through the night.

    should probably say this.
    ModLoader.AddSmelting(mod_mudblock.itemMudBlock, new ItemStack(this.itemSuperBrick, 1));

    Although I can only speculate about what your mudblock item is called in your mod_mudblock class (which I'm also assuming you've created).

    Naming these things itemMudBlock and itemSuperBrick instead of mudblock and superbrick is also kind of odd, as it goes against the convention established by the minecraft native code.

    Only kidding.
    I like the idea, but if heartless and nobody mobs could only be hurt by the keyblade, then surviving without one until you had the resources to craft one would be a huge pain.

    public: this class can be accessed by other classes.

    ItemStack: the return type. for instance if you had a function that gives you the time of day, it would return an integer number for the time.

    onItemRightClick: the name of the function

    (): all the things inside the brackets get passed into the function.

    Since an ItemStack (called itemstack) gets passed into this function, just return it at the end. just insert the line 'return itemstack;' at the very end of the function before the } character.

    I suppose you could always install one mod and create a world, then drag all the files out of the .minecraft folder into another folder. Then download all the minecraft files again, install the other mod and make another world. Then just keep moving the files around for whichever one you want to play at the time. A bit complicated, but it would work, especially if you had a script.

    The error occurred because the compiler is looking for a class called ItemExample.

    My guess is you're following a tutorial and saw ItemExample in one of the examples.
    If the item is only used in crafting recipes (like leather), then it doesn't need its own class, and you can replace ItemExample with Item.
    If your chain item is going to have special properties, it will need it's own class. Replace ItemExample with ItemChain and then create a new file called ItemChain.java.
    ItemChain.java will of course need it's own code as well, but the only code which is completely necessary to get the code to compile is this

    package net.minecraft.src;
    public class ItemChain extends Item{
       public ItemChain(int i)

    And you can add your own code as you learn how.

    A small update this time.

    About This Mod
    This mod is meant to add some items that will hopefully enhance the Minecraft experience. This is my first attempt at creating a mod and I would be very excited if people showed any interest at all. The mod isn't finished yet but I've gotten it to a point where I'm happy to post it on the forum. That said, there should be frequent enough updates assuming I maintain my current pace.

    What's In This Mod

    -Hammer of Thor-
    I thought this was an interesting idea. Crafted with thunderbolts for a handle and a diamond block head, the Hammer of Thor is the ultimate in Minecraft bling. That being said, the hammer is actually quite useful. It can be used as either a tool or a weapon. When used as a weapon it should one-hit kill any enemy. When used for mining it lasts five times longer and mines five times as fast. So because it requires three times the number of diamonds as a pickaxe it's worth it to save them up. Also you can use the hammer to fire thunderbolts if you have them in your inventory.
    Some might say this thing is over-powered. To them I say, "Then don't craft one."
    This item is now effective against more types of blocks, including those added by this mod.

    Fired from the Hammer of Thor, they explode on impact and devastate the landscape. They're completely ridiculous. If you see where it lands, you're too close. Their power has been toned down.

    -Soft Leather-
    Like normal leather, but used for comfy snuggly things. Well maybe not snuggly but you get the idea.

    -Running Gear-
    Each piece of running gear makes you run faster by an amount specific to each piece of the suit. Any armor worn will diminish the effects of running gear by an amount specific to each piece of armor. Running gear will most likely be removed when Notch releases 1.8 with the sprint feature.
    I found a glitch that causes you to accelerate at incredible rates when running on ice. This is unintentional. However, since the running gear is on it's way out I don't plan on fixing it.

    Used for freezing food. They run on all the same fuel as a furnace (because Minecraft doesn't have propane...and I'm not making it).

    -Frozen Porkchops-
    They can't be eaten, but they can be stacked up to 16 and cooked later. Fantastic for going on an adventure or for those who just need the space in their chests.

    -Frozen Fish-
    They can't be eaten, but they can be stacked up to 64 (number likely to change). They resemble a box of frozen fishsticks and can be placed as blocks for those who just need a house made of fish.
    These blocks are now easier to break, and you should be capable of harvesting them by hand now.

    -Creeper's Bane-
    Difficult to procure. Awesome stuff though. You mix sulfur (or gunpowder, whatever) with water to get a clump of sludge. Distill the sludge using a furnace to get a green powder. Six green powder make a creeper's bane ingot.

    -Creeper's Bane Sword-
    Lasts as long as iron and does the same damage as wood against most mobs. Against creepers however, it's a one-hit kill, all the time, everytime. Plus it's pretty kick-ass looking. All green like something from Zelda.

    -Creeper's Bane Block-
    As hard as stone for most purposes, but being that it's creeper's bane it can withstand any explosion (just like obsidian...but green).
    You only need four ingots to make a block. I can't remember if I changed that of if it was always that way. Meh, whatever.
    You can also retrieve your ingots from the block by placing them in a crafting area now.

    I noticed that whenever I found lava in a cave I would leave it there because of how nice and bright it was. Sometimes I would fall in and kill myself. Thus, the lavaquarium. Safely shielded by a thin layer of glass, these blocks can be brought along and placed wherever you like.

    -Artificial Sun-
    I actually find this block a bit hokey, but I spent so much time getting it to work that I'm leaving it in for anyone who wants it to enjoy it. Place the artificial sun in the desired location and then back up a safe distance. Ten seconds after the block is placed it will generate a nice, "compact" sun. This is for lighting up relatively large caverns. With the exception of glass, the sun won't destroy solid blocks to generate itself. For a perfect sun, place the block on a glass tower. If the source block is destroyed, the whole sun goes with it.

    -Better Bow-
    A bow that shoots all the different arrow of Minecraft. Different arrows? Yes friend, read on.
    You need only press 'v' to cycle to the next arrow to load into your bow.

    -Torch Arrows-
    These arrows plant torches when they come in contact with a wall or with the ground.
    If you shoot a creature, it will take arrow damage and be set ablaze.
    The fire is compounded so if you fire two arrows into an enemy it will burn twice as long.
    Some of the behaviour of this arrow is a bit unpolished. for instance if you shoot at a block which already has a torch, you will lose your arrow. These problems will be worked on in future updates.
    These arrows have been tweaked so they act less stupid. Until now their behaviour was very dependent upon your location in the world. Hopefully this has been corrected. Also I hopefully didn't break anything else while fixing this, as I didn't do a thorough check after such a small update.

    -Creeper's Bane Arrows-
    This was a natural progression. With a creeper's bane sword in hand it's not long before one finds oneself asking, "Why can't I make an arrowhead out of this stuff?" Say no more hypothetical Minecraft player. I have what you seek. This arrow will kill any creeper with one shot, but will only do half the damage of a normal arrow against other creatures.


    1. Risugami's ModLoader

    Just like any other mod really.
    1. Have ModLoader installed already (many tutorials exist for this).
    2. Open your .minecraft folder (if you have the above mod installed then you know where this is for your OS).
    3. Open the bin folder, open minecraft.jar (assuming you have some kind of archive manager like winrar or 7zip).
    4. Open the Makaque-Mod-Pack-*.zip, then the enclosed Makaque-Mod-Pack-* folder.
    5. Drag all the files from Makaque-Mod-Pack-* folder into your minecraft.jar (being careful not to drag them into one of the folders).
    6. Have fun being awesome!
