There've been so many times where I have wanted to use something like creative mode for basically TWO THINGS.
1. Construction. I don't want to live in a wooden shack, but I can't make the cobble fortress I want and maintain it and all that.
2. Testing updates. Like, say we got the piston update? I'd be able to go in on creative, make myself a gigantic area with unlimited materials to just test like 300 ways to use a piston. =P
I'd still go to survival to explore, check out those NPC villages, kill some endermen, and check out mineshafts and ravines and rivers and all the cool stuff. I may go through some of them in free-flight sooner or later, that's just too cool.
So, if I use the client and not the browser, they SHOULD work? x_x I'd have considered that to be an important detail to notify people of when they download this, but I'll go see if it works...
EDIT: I just realized where the error came from. It wasn't the crash from trying to use the mods, it was the crash from not being able to run the downloaded version.
Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

That's the error I get. r_r So I can't run the downloaded version. But I guess if I can solve this problem and get the download thing to work, I should in theory be able to get the mods to work. Maybe.
So, I've tried using the following mods INDIVIDUALLY. This is not an error that is due to incompatability.
- Planes / Vehicles
- Too Many Items
- Even some texture packs!
But the issue is, when I install them, and I KNOW I'm doing it right because I've followed very detailed tutorials, the game black/white screens. I got one crash message while doing it, and it said something about "Cannot find AdvancedOpenGL".
I haven't even gotten a crash message since, but it still doesn't work whatsoever. How can I fix this?
Isn't it basically as easy as pressing "patch"? They have instructions, after all.
And you mean the bin folder, right?
EDIT: It worked, to a point. The game didn't freeze while loading. HOWEVER, when I selected the texture pack, the browser froze completely. x_x
So really, IDK what to do at this point. None of it works. Misa's Realistic didn't work either when I patched, but that was an HD texture. =\ Nooo clue.
I patched with MC patcher and it still doesn't work.
It'll load java, it'll load the game, then it'll whitescreen and then blackscreen without showing the Mojang logo. It doesn't go anywhere and I can't do anything. =\
I don't know why, but Minecraft can't run with this texture pack. It's the only thing in the texture pack folder, and I'm not running mods, but the game freezes every time I try to select this.
I've only ever been to one city build, and it WAS amazing. I built a yellow submarine in some guy's airplane hangar, but when I came back it was covered up in like a 10-block-thick layer of crap. It was horrifying.

EDIT: Mo Creatures failed too. I tried a second time with AdvancedOpenGL off, and it didn't matter. So, I dunno what the issue is.
