This has got to be the most gorgeous and stylized 16x pack I've seen. I love it. I'm pretty well married to my current 32x pack, but I will be playing around with this one, undoubtedly. :biggrin.gif:

I know JohnSmith's texture pack was outdated for Wild Grass, but he updated recently for 1.5 and I believe it's fully compatible now.

Hey, in the next update do you think you could add horses and foals? MoCreatures will probably never update, and I kinda miss em.

AFAIK, MoCreatures creator has not yet said anything about abandoning the mod, and I don't really want to go there. It's different enough from this one that I'm not really interested in adopting it's design. But I am looking into steeds of the porcine variety!

It's my understanding that the creator of Mo'Creatures hasn't been updating because he recently had a baby, but he fully intends to update to 1.5. He apparently said this on IRC.

Here's my crack at 32x32 textures that add other 'Wild' plants besides just grass:
    Download

Very lovely work. :smile.gif: I always appreciate new flower textures, especially 32x ones, as I consider that to be kind of the "sweet spot" in terms of texture packs and resolution. :3

Aww, people are being so mean about the squickens. XD I think they're funny, personally. I got the joke! But I still find them creepy, but then again.. I find squids creepy normally. :|

Anyway, I like that the following mechanics seem to mimic that of the wolves, now, in that they "teleport" to you if they lose sight of you. I too am noticing the door thing, but it's mostly the fact that even in their pen and with the door closed, all my tamed animals seem to gravitate toward the door. XD

While I think the lasso is a great idea, it seems a little less necessary now than it was before their follow mechanics improved. XD Still, I love the additions, particularly the shears. :3

Now all we need is flying pigs.. :Pig:

Omg yay, an update! This is seriously one of the single player mods I cannot stand being without. :smile.gif: Installing now! Also, squickens? Like.. a squid chicken? Interesting! *plays!*

Omg, squickens are creepy. XD But at least people can have the pet squids they wanted!

Also, you can ride tame pigs, but is there any way to be able to control the pig you're riding? And if not, is this a feature that could be implemented at some point?

I was looking around for some higher res food textures, and happened across this screenshot. I was wondering if there was a way to make your corn grow like that, with the stalk underneath the corn itself instead of each block displaying the same image. I have NO idea how that would work, but it's just a suggestion. :smile.gif:

Probably... That would look cool... Though the idea is that you harvest corn cobs out of all three blocks (yeah, that's not how real corn works, I know). I'll have a play with it at some stage.

Yeah, that's true. Although honestly, I had more corn than I knew what to do with as a result. XD I had all your crops growing in my little farm, and the thing I had the most of was corn. So while that's a neat idea, I don't think shortage of corn is an issue. XD

Definitely excited about the mushroom thing. :3

Lovely pack, and I'm blown away by the mobs. For some reason, I thought mobs couldn't be made of a higher resolution. Do you still offer the 32x32 style ones? I assume the 64 version can't be used with a 32x pack. XD

    Ah, but they can!
The resolution of the terrain.png is independent of that of the items.png and each of the individual mob skins.
I use 128x skeletons in mine because they look awesome.

    ORLY
I tried to use some 64x mobs once awhile ago and had issues, BUT that was then and this is now and I'm totally going to use me some new mobs now. :3 *toddles off with glee*

The FPS problems are almost certainly because I changed how it looks up blocks. in the new minimapcolors file you can configure what blocks are shown as what, so if another mod adds blocks, then while I won't support them, it's easy for you to add them. it also supports colored cloth now, but I don't provide color mappings for it because I, uh, forgot.

I didn't realize this! Thank you for the tip. :biggrin.gif:

Some modders have updated without the MCP, but some of them don't really need it because the classes their mods modify didn't change much if at all, or they made their own classes and thus don't need them de-obfuscated. Basically, mods get released when they get released, and we must be patient in the meantime. :smile.gif:

Lahwran please, I did not intend to harass you in any way, but people were WAITING. I was, our server was, and I figured the people here were as well. If you updated it yourself but without the new features (and the bugs so it seems from the comments?), just upload it without the new features.

Your mod was really the final one to be finished for 1.5. The one before you was improvedchat which was updated like days before. It really does say something if someone from the community takes it over because it's just too goddamn long before the new one gets released.

"People were WAITING" is hardly a legitimate excuse. =/ We were all waiting, and some of us patiently.

Lahwran, did you make any changes to the minimap border? Because for some reason it looks more.. crisp than before? But it might just be me imagining things. I've always loved that texture, though, whether you made any changes to it or not. XD

But I too am noticing some FPS droppage when I zoom out too far, whereas previously, this was not an issue. My solution has been to just not zoom out that far, but I did notice a difference, for sure. I really don't think it's a computer issue, though, because I didn't notice this issue prior to 1.5, but it's possible it's to do with 1.5 itself. I really don't know. Either way, minor complaint.
