I had a problem trying to get Minecraft to fully boot up too, turned out to be a Java issue. Make sure that you have the latest version of Java, and that every other older version of Java is uninstalled. Both can be done from Java's home website.
Mine specifically was not fully booting up into the title screen when I hit the launcher's Play button, but given your error messages it might be a culprit here too.
1. Hunger? I personally hate it, it prevents quick pvp it's like battlefeild and pre-1.8 is like cod. It does make you hunt and play stealthy, i like hunting and stealth was still possible in pre-1.8 multiplayer just not so much of it. So i thought how about hunger and health don't effect each other that much. How about when your at 2 hearts and full with food you don't recover it just means you won't die of hunger anytime soon, you would have to chug down more meat to fill up your health. (blah blah not realistic blah blah,F*ck you Shut up) Oh yeah if your hunger runs out youYou slowly get analy raped by creepers instantly die.
2. Just first off nobody likes the fact that obsidian takes so long to break it's not adding to the game, it's stupid. I say increase the speed of coal a lot, and everything else about 10% nobody cares if it's 10% slower, unless your F*cked up weird. Yeah and tweak with that stuff to make it more or less if it's better.
3. Poison- It's op nerf it
4. Food poisoning- It's fine but it needs to be nerfed a bit like increase 2.5 decrease 1 (if it's already that then its fine)
5. Bugs- FIX THEM NOBODY GIVES A FK ABOUT POTIONS FIX THE FKING BUGS....( i would honestly except and update for smp support and bug fixes leave in the comments if your with me)
6. Beds- they are cheap 1 they should decrease your hunger down to 1 bar
7. charcoal- GET RID OF IT! ive considered getting an alpha version of minecraft for it.
8. Other color flowers are something i also wanted :tongue.gif:
9. And minecraft should come with a few different style textures i bet you many people like minecraft texture and many people dont thats why tons of textures get downloaded, btw notch should add a texture pack customizer for the original minecraft texture... :smile.gif:)) thats about i leave u a hate button.
Alright...
1. I disagree. You can insta-heal with a potion, it just means
that you have to put effort in if you want to greatly speed up
your combat prowess.
2. I disagree. Obsidian is end-level material, so you should
feel like you're working to get it.
3. I disagree. It's dangerous like it should be, and it mixes
well with the current food system.
4. I agree that it's fine, I disagree that it needs a nerf.
5. Yes, the last month of work on Minecraft has been about
bugfixes in fact.
6. I disagree. You spend the night resting rather than running
around like a madman, your hunger shouldn't suffer nearly as
much as the alternative.
7. No. >_>
8. Yes. That'd be nice.
9. A happy middleground would be for Notch to offer a bundle
of his favorite community made textures.
You want to know what's great? Running your post through
Microsoft Word's spellchecker, and the "Enter" button.
Potions and Enchantments are the late game upgrades, where
previously we were relying on new raw material for upgrades.
Mobs were made durable to increase their actual threat level,
make them more of a challenge over how easy it was to
previously go rambo with your bare damn hands on the first
night on hard mode.
I don't really understand the contention of the thread even
after skimming over it, so this is more in reply to the
title than anything.
It more increases the new player's incentive to build shelter
than anything I think though Bumber.
Since Endermen and Enderdragons can't move or break the 'white
stone' block the floating continents are made from, the first
course of action would be to build into one of them, sealing
the entrance with a door of your own making.
Building above ground would be suicide, even if Endermen can't
touch your blocks, Enderdragons will tear them a new one.
A role-playing game (RPG) is a game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting. Players take responsibility for acting out these roles within a narrative, either through literal acting, or through a process of structured decision-making or character development.[1] Actions taken within the game succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines

Here we go.
Most games have very light role playing game elements, because it's
an easy way to make it a driving force for playing the game.
Ironically, Minecraft has no narrative, roles or character developement,
owing to it's extreme sandbox styled gameplay and no feasible story
whatsoever.
This is a joke, right? Sarcasm? Since, you know, that's exactly what happened to Minecraft?
I'm not complaining, as I'm not one of the people that are adamantly against the new features being added. But Minecraft is certainly not a "sandbox" game anymore.
Maybe you 'can't see the forest for the trees' or something, but
Mincraft is still an extreme example of a Sandbox game, and that's
not even up for debate.
It has elements of other genres, but it's still all centered around
a massive world that you can pretty freely form in your own image.
I was reading somewhere that said that people who bought during the Alpha stage get the game free forever, including DLC. It also said that Beta buyers will have to pay for post-game DLC. Where was this stated, and is it true?
Yup, and was either Notch's twitter or blog, I can't remember which.
We've just got to suck it up.
For those uninformed;
DLC = DownLoadable Content, stuff released after the release of the game.
For other game examples, TF2's are frequent and free, CoD's less so and cost money.
0:59 Running on something else. (gravel/soulsand/sand)(Portal background noises)
0:60 Canine barks, and a... Helicopter?
0:62 Record going offline.
~~
It sounds like, someone's running from something, and uses a Portal as
an escape route.
I might even venture as far as to say going into the portal cut out the
Recording, but what caused the 'gravel' noise? And a 'copter. Wth.

based on a few loose and unrelated statements.
But yeah, you can take that claimed article and get all theatrical
about it if you want.

Ontopic, yes.

Huh.
Welp, if you say so...
For those people's heads that this flew over;

Pretty gosh darn epic if I do say so myself.

0:00 Record coming online.

0:08 Searching through something(s). (Unidentified background noises)
0:16 A Lighter? Flint and Steel probs.
0:22 Coughing. (Sounds a bit strange) (Unidentified background noises)
0:36 Researching something in a book. (Unidentified background noises)
0:41 Using the Lighter/Flint and Steel again.
0:48 An activated portal.
0:51 Running, gets faster/more fervent. (Portal background noises)

Hardcore mode, by definition, should be over the top difficult.
If that's not your cup of tea, don't play hardcore mode.

I'd be very surprised if the above hasn't been a response to this
thread yet.
On topic, I disagree, and lighten up a bit... How serious did you
assume Minecraft would be in the end?

The above character is Old Bird, a Chozo from the Metroid series, and
it's the first thing I thought of when I looked at the Testificates.
Edit: the forehead doesn't match though. =d

So, it throws snowballs, that do 0 damage.
... It's a decoy, it draws mob attention away from you.
