Today I released the update for Minecraft 1.15 and 1.15.1. Fortunately, nothing has changed in the Minecraft code that ISM uses. So I was able to create the updates in less than 2 hours.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays
Update for Minecraft 1.14.4 - 2.7.3
-added: The user can close the StrExplorer while using Minecraft. This shows a warning and if the user proceeds the ISM-features get disabled.
-added: Minecraft crashes if the ISM jar file couldn't be found.
-added: You can now use the StrExplorer even if Minecraft was closed.
Update for Minecraft 1.14.4 - 2.7.2
-added: reintroduced the ProjectLists (former StrLists). The current ProjectLists are loaded faster and more efficient.
-added: brief text about how the favorite-structure feature works. This text is displayed when no favorite structures are selected.
-fixed: the gaps between window components and the lower window border were too small
-fixed: some tracking events weren't sent
-fixed: the upper left search bar didn't function correctly
Aug 28 at 7:10pm Structure Lists (StrLists) provide a feature that has been consistently requested by users. Structures are sorted by topic. This is similar to very old ISM versions in which the manageable number of structures was always displayed.
There are structure lists on topics such as Star Wars, Sailing Ships, Castles and many more. Structures Lists can also be automatically updated without a direct update by ISM and come close in their function to an editorially created playlist.
Update Log:
-New: Structure lists as described above
-New: Display all projects and creators
-New: A random set of projects and creators can be viewed
-New: A detail view of a project or creators can be displayed at random. The search can be considered.
New: Credits and link to instant-structures-mod.com in browser view
Revisions: Better performance of scrollable views
Revisions: ISM will now call special links when you open instant-structures-mod.com from the mod
Revisions: The update function now links the Patreon posts instead of the website
Fix: Performance issues when scrollable views become too small
Fix: In some situations, the number of blocks was displayed twice in a search result
Fix: No detail view of structures without images could be opened
Fix: When searching for tags, they did not appear in the search bar
Fix: Different views were not rendered directly or inadequately
1. Software copyright does work a little different from copyright for text and pictures.
2. And there's a big difference between copying large bits of the source code and re-using it for your own profit and re-hosting the compiled mod.
3. Re-hosting the complete mod does not claim author-ship or ownership over the product, it simply re-distributes a file that was free for anyone to download in the first place. It's just a Jerk move because it deprives the original author/owner of add-revenue.
4. The fact that the compiled mod can only work in conjunction with the base game Minecraft, which has its own rules for these "modifications" only further complicates properly copyrighting it.
5. I think the best hopes you have for getting downloads from a source that you control is by uploading your mod to CurseForge, like about 99% of all popular mods does.
6. Closing these other websites down would be very hard to do since it's really hard to point out what legal rule they are breaking. And for every redistributing website we'd take down, another thousand will pop up.
Sorry for being such a downer.
Thanks for the answer - unfortunately I am a bit disappointed, but of course that's not your fault.
It is a shame that the rights of free software developers are not protected. But then that's how it is.
Parts of my mod would work without Minecraft. I use this for testing some functions and would only need to be released with an update. But that wouldn't make sense because of your mentioned 3rd point.
I will soon offer my mod on Curse too.
I think it is less bad if many pages rehost my mod as long as it does not generate the bulk of the downloads. But with one site I've been in contact twice already in recent years, after which they removed the download and added it back a few weeks later. But it is also positive that some sites link to the right source after contacting them which results in higher download rates. So it pays to contact the site operators.
I would like to have a website that has rehosted my mod removed from Google Search. I would use this form from Google for this.
My questions to you:
-Has anyone of you ever had experience with it?
-I'm from Germany and I do not know American copyright very well. Do websites that rehost mods against the will of the creator violate American copyright law? Of course, I am aware that I will not receive legal advice here as from a lawyer. Nevertheless, I would be interested in your opinion.
This release fixes a bunch of critical bugs and migrates the source code to Java 1.8. Thereby older versions like jre 1.6 or 1.7 are not supported anymore.
New: Some users have reported that they could not add structures to the library. This was most likely due to a flaw in Internet communications that ISM has little influence on. Users now see detailed reasons when a structure cannot be added to their library. A workaround for Windows users has been implemented for a certificate error.
Fix: Fixes a bug that has prevented the scanning of structures under certain circumstances. This meant that some scanned structures could not be placed. Furthermore, this error has prevented the removal and repositioning of structures.
Fix: Fixes a bug that has prevented users on macOS from placing structures.
Fix: Failed to place structures of a collection from the contex menu.
Fix: View of scanning structures couldn’t be opened after opening a combination of views in a specific order.

Remove: Structures save TileEntities because this feature was not used
Hi, @MaggiCraft. I'm having a problem with ISM where once I click "Place Structure," a window with a progress bar shows up with an orange section moving from side to side forever. I've allocated about 12 gb (the maximum RAM on my computer) to the forge version of Minecraft, set the priority of the Java program to high, and waited almost two hours in one case. However, regardless of the amount of blocks on the structure, nothing happens at all. Have you got any solution for this?
EDIT: the .Jar file name is ism-2.4.5 MC-1.12.2.jar. Is that the correct one?
Yes that's the correct version. What is the name of the structure you tried to place? Please send me the /minecraft/ism-2/log.txt-file to [email protected]
Hey sir.. im using the mine 1.7.10 with the ism 2.4.5.. but when i open the window that is suposed to have all the buildings, there is nothing, refreshing and searching find nothing too... the library is empty
[Edit]
By luck i saw the tip of the day after initializing my mine for the 3th time and then i saw that i could type [All] on the search... and BAM.. now atleast i see what i think is everything, im going to try and search for especific things to see if its working but i got scared there xd
{Edit 2]
when i place the building, the "load" for the building to get placed in my world is stuck at 9% chunk loading and dont move anymore...
Which structure did you want to place? Please send me the /minecraft/mods/ism-2/log.txt to [email protected]
- Warnings are now displayed when parts of the structure are placed outside the height of [1,255]
In this case, the structure is trimmed
If the structure displaced the Bedrock layer, the user is offered the option to receive it
- It is no longer possible to place a structure so that it is placed completely outside the world
- Errors when placing blocks are now logged much more efficiently. This used to make Minecraft freeze when placed.
- In the Local Structures view is now an info button with a description of the function
- An error of the structures with low altitude did not place correctly
- 4 other improvements and fixes
This update brings exciting new features for placing and repositioning structures.
These include mirroring structures around all 3 axes. Furthermore, structures can now be rotated around 9 different points.
Most of the new and revised features are now being tested by UnitTests. This reduces the number of errors in ISM in the medium term. This step is necessary because 13 ISM variants for 13 Minecraft versions can not be tested manually.
-new: Placing a structure leads to saving the world. Now worlds are automatically recharged, drastically reducing the time.
-new: cancel scanning, placing, repostioning and removing structures will remove the bounding box
-new: a yellow button will indicate if a placed bounding box is out of date
-new: enable or disable the flatten area option when repositioning structures
-overworked: the way in which structures are rotated
-overworked: some adjustments to the GUI
-overworked: storing information about Minecraft blocks and metas needs less RAM
-fixed: wrong dimension of placed bounding boxes
-fixed: converting a .schematic file to a .str file converts unknown blocks incorrectly
-fixed: removing structures placed the old terrain in some conditions in the wrong direction
-fixed: can't set the z-offset of a structures while scanning
-fixed: can't set the offset of a structure while placing
-fixed: structures with dimension 0 can be placed
-fixed: errors with downgrading newer blocks to older Minecraft versions
-fixed: errors with rotating blocks correctly
-fixed: errors with missing combinations of metadata and blocks
-fixed: errors with combinations of metadata and blocks that doesn't exists
-fixed: errors with combinations of metadata and blocks that can't be used for scanning and converting structures
