    Steam-Powered-Mining-vehicle

This is a very slow, 1/4 human speed, mining vehicle. It doesn't need track to run on so it can go anywhere. It instantly destroys stone, ore, gravel, sand, and dirt it moves into. It takes 8 times longer on obsidian, and It doesn't collect it. This machine has a 2x2 front, so it can collect ore very quickly, but it takes a-lot of coal and water. One water goes 16 spaces (2 obsidian) and one coal can move 8 spaces (or 1 obsidian). (up to 32 blocks) Lava and water break the machine into its parts.

    Steam-boat

A boat, that moves faster. It is powered by coal, and can use sea-water to make steam. It is 2 times faster than a regular boat, and doesn't crash when you drive it into the shore. The boat acts like a platform, 2x3, with walls 1 block high. it has the engine in the back 2 spaces and wooden gears on the side that are propellers. you can put things like chests or workbenches on the platform. The boat moves 128 spaces per coal.

    vertical-ascension-contraption

For the cost of some coal and water, you can make a vertical ascension contraption! This device allows you to move yourself vertically, along a wall. it has a height of 2 and it's base is 2x1, with the 2 side against the wall. it runs off of a mine-cart track placed on a wall, and only needs a track 1 block wide. the space you can enter the VAC is 2x1x1, the other 2x1x1 space is occupied by the engine. the climb-rate of this is twice the rate of a ladder. It moves 32 spaces per coal and 64 per water.

Adding some more ideas and suggestions.

    Mine-cart-automated-track-layer

It would be a mine-cart like tool that you can put on the front of a mine-cart train. As the train moves forwards, the machine lays down mine-tracks in the direction the train moves. A player can ride in the machine and change directions with wasd. The MCATL needs a player pushing it or a powered mine-cart at all times to operate. Up to 64 tracks can be placed into it by right click. The purpose of this is so that a mine-cart can move without a player having to lay all of the track beforehand.

    Steam Drill

Similar to the circular saw, but the drill is used for stone. The drill breaks through stone and ore vary quickly. This drill can collect obsidian, but at a vary slow and inefficient rate. When used on enemies/animals, it deals small, but continuous damage. It runs off of coal and water in your inventory.

    Grinder Machine

This is a machine that takes up 2 inventory spaces and takes 2 spots when placed. The machine is in 2 parts. When items are dropped into this machine, the items are destroyed, and most (Not all) of the materials required to make the item are returned. Less are returned if the tool is damaged. This machine doesn't process diamond.

    Portable timepiece (AKA Watch)

Watches would allow you to keep track of time by having the watch in one of your bar slots. It will display the time in analog on the right corner of the screen. The watch will be self powered with an oscillating diamond core.

The watch can be made with iron bars and an iron gear, but the watch only displays the time when you select it, instead of it always being there.

    Wooden ballista

A siege weapon. it is large, heavy, and takes time to set up. it's relatively easy to make but isn't as powerful as metal siege weapons.

I like the idea, and for fire arrows, why not just have s feather, stick, and coal?
    :Coal:

Because the torch is a stick and coal, and you're putting it onto another stick, an arrow would essentially be
    :Coal:

    :|:
    ]" title="-<->" />
And IMO, shorter arrows are better somehow.

    I have an Idea!

    Arrow Trap
It's a block... that shoots arrows! It's programmable with red-stone. it shoots the arrow in the direction the red-stone is connected. You can right click to put in arrows (Up to 64), and it's self-reloading.

    Circular Saw

It's a tool/weapon. When It is used on trees, it cuts the tree very fast and instantly makes them into planks. When used on enemies/animals, it deals small, but continuous damage. It runs off of coal and water in your inventory.

    Water Tank

It's like a bucket, but it only holds water. It holds 4 unit of water, so instead of carrying 4 buckets of water when you want to use steam, you need to carry only 1 water tank. This item doesn't need the steam factory to craft.
