You seem really bothered by all this, and you didn't get called juvenile until you tried to make me look bad, and now you are mad that being part of this is making you look bad.
Someone just derped at me on Amarae's thread and I'm not sure what to make of it.
First they put words in my mouth then when I start saying that's not what I said and explaining what I meant they say I'm having a pissing contest and resorting to personal attacks when I not once mentioned their characters.
I'm not sure what to make of this. It's all very confusing. Still going "what the hell was that about?"
To hide behind the fact that you never actually said specific words, when they were implied, is fairly juvenile. It's even more juvenile to respond in a silly fashion and then immediately edit your post when you get called out on it, to try and discredit me.
You were right in that paragraph until the red part. It actually is a matter of we'll be smarter later, well it's more a matter of we'll eventually figure it out. But that's close enough. We couldn't make planes for the longest time, then eventually we figured out planes, now there are thousands of planes. We weren't smart enough and then we were.
The point of that post is not, we'll still be just as stupid, it's that he's assuming that we'll have figured out HOW to do it ever, or will it be something that's within reason enough to try, the point is that he shouldn't make assumptions that he can't back up with knowledge he doesn't have. I doubt any of us knows exactly what a womb transplant would entail, and that alone makes assuming anything pointless.
And yet someone 100 years ago would have said "I doubt people are going to start popping pills that will forever change their bodies and chop off their own dicks just to feel comfortable with themselves."
People suck fat out of their bodies, they kill their facial nerves, they put massive amounts of silicone on their tits, they destroy their own bones just so they look more symmetric and some even cut off their own limbs just to feel comfortable about themselves right now.

I seriously think you missed the point, as this is a more "social" issue, as in, why would the government mandate that every be gender neutral, not an issue of things changing in the future. I honestly don't ever see the relevance of your post.
Also, you are making many assumptions about the future, like all people wanting to be gender neutral, and that such an extreme operation will ever become possible. Now one thing it IS safe to say is that (barring the end of the world as we know it) we will become more advanced, and possibly (hopefully) more accepting. I doubt this means everyone will go in a frenzy to get new organs put inside themselves.
I may not be a doctor, but I promise you, putting organs inside of people and making them work is VERY extreme, while maybe not impossible, it still creates unavoidable issues, like what are we going to take out to make space for that new man-womb? You can't just stuff organs inside people and flip a switch either. It's not a matter of "Well we'll be smarter by then".
I'm beginning to believe you are just seeing what you want to see, and cutting everything else out.

I doubt the people of the future are going to do an (presumably) extremely high risk and expensive procedure on every single person just so they will be gender neutral, and even if they did, why? That seems like it could be something from a dystopian fiction book.(Trying eliminate prejudice by forcing everyone to be the same) Also, to just call ignorance when someone questions you is both hypocritical, and ignorant.
Also, the reason I think he brought up natural selection is because the alternative is (as mentioned above) ludicrous.
I would resurrect either Albert Einstein or Nikola Tesla, both of them died while working on something that could change the world. A surprising number of people seem to agree.
I don't have the ability to see into the future, but once it gets bad enough then people will take action to prevent it, and for all we know they might be successful. Then again, we could get struck by a meteor and all die, point is, anything can happen.
I would immediately unload it and call the police.
If your talking more about shotgun ownership in general, well I have one sitting 6 feet to my right, so I guess I would leave it sitting unloaded next to my bed.
