And it's constant too, every time I try to join a server. This has never happened to me before... It has quit like this once or twice, but never one after another every time I try to get on.
I have a Macbook Pro, and I've done some research on the issue. It seems like either my OS is out of date or my java is not up to date.
It can't be my OS, so could it possibly be my java?
I'm about to go update it, but just leaving this topic here so I can get some feedback if it doesn't work.

I mean just the order of them, I actually laughed out loud
Apr 2, 2012I thought people have been saying performance has been progressively getting better...?Posted in: Recent Updates and Snapshots
I read that there was an overall boost with Anvil and then another unexplained boost with on of the recent updates or snapshots.
It really all depends on the computer. Some people can run it fine on 32 bit, but I have 32 bit and it runs... Well, it runs, but not well.

I have something strange with abandoned mineshaft I found in hardcore
There is a stone staircase that leads down to it from the surface.
Is that suppose to happen? Or is it just a funky generation thing.
Is it like a perfect staircase or just a little cave system that you describe as a staircase?
And, I don't wanna be THAT GUY but... Pics, Seed, and Coords or it doesn't exist

Maybe I'm just irked cause I don't find this place interesting anymore. Too many of the same topics every hour of every day.

I'm just sitting here like... wut. How am I supposed to have conversations about the UPDATE when people are posting their SUPPORT problems.
Thats why I haven't been on these damn forums that much. It's the same few topics for days on the front page about people needing help with something.
Recent Updates Forum =/= Support Forum
Just thought I'd throw that out there, but by all means, continue posting your problems here.
Mar 1, 2012Mummies would be cool as perhaps just a retextured zombie of sorts. I think a good idea for them would be similar to a mob I saw in a horror mod a while ago (cannot for the life of me remember) that only seeks you out (and VERY quickly might I add) when you walk in its radius without sneaking.Posted in: Recent Updates and Snapshots
These mobs would be silent like creepers until they were hit to make them more efficient. Maybe they could even have a higher damage value or a quicker attack than zombies... Or maybe they could seek you out, grab you, and hold you in place while at the same time damaging you [Megaman Zero mummies anyone? ]
Any way, it is a good theory, but I'm just gonna wait and see about this one. I put way too much thought into the monkey theory when the teaser snapshot of the Ocelot was released a while ago.

Could someone explain what's so "revolutionary" about that picture? I can make that stair in Minecraft too.
The word revolutionary never came out of my mouth... keyboard......
Anyway, I'm just commenting on what I observed from the news update.
And no, you currently cannot make stairs like that in Minecraft right now and if you think you can, I would love to see a screenshot

It looks like they already have leaked a feature for the next snapshot. Similar to stairs, slabs will now be able to be placed in an "upside down" state meaning that the half block will be in the upper portion of the full block instead of just the lower portion. This means we won't have to alternate between half blocks and full blocks for staircases and it'll give it a much cleaner look.
Now whether this means the hitbox will be fixed so that it doesn't consist of the whole box is still yet to be determined.
Interesting though, like stairs this opens up some new aesthetic doors.

I'd prefer that a new boss mob would actually have a unique model and behavior, and not just be an oversized existing mob. We have enough spiders and dragons. Let's add something new to the table.
I feel like they would change the model and texture to add more detail like the Enderdragon. But I understand the originality needed.
Uhhhh... Just make the Aether mod Vanilla haha :biggrin.gif:
