if you really want guns, just go download a mod for them. Using vanilla commands/items to create guns will just a make an underwhelming and unreliable system that will never be as good as just using a mod.
i know mods. and those are being used now in the project i work on. but the idea is to make this work without mods. and i just need some guns. i have seen command blocks creations that could do the job but they create lag and have to be in certain chucks to work. these functions from what i learned wont do that and are more powerfull than command blocks.
i have been looking for this a long time. and i dont know how to make this. but if anyone has a pre made function that would be great. otherwise can someone tell me how to make this

hi there! im working on a gun, now i know how to do most of it i only have problems with the shooting. is there a way to set a score when looking a direction while holding a named item. is it possible to do this without alot of command blocks?
