Considering the Windows 10 edition is cross-compatible with it, I'd say that's a load of features added since I last played PE ^-^

Aug 17, 2015MCZaphelon posted a message on Community Roundtable: Is Minecraft "Wrong" as a Game?Posted in: News
I don't really think Minecraft can be labelled as being either right nor wrong as a game, that's something that the player themselves decides, and not critics generalising the game to one specific genre, since Minecraft is such an open-ended game to begin with. I concur with Sach, trying to list everything that players can do is nigh on impossible, and so it really comes down to what play styles individual people settle with. As for me however, bring on the blockiness!

What I do is I set the biome to be only forest, and then set the base generation level to something lower (I forget what number exactly, but 5.5 rings a bell). What ends up happening is that only the highest bits reach above the water level, making a really effective survival island!

Jun 8, 2015MCZaphelon posted a message on Community Roundtable: Ocean LifePosted in: News
I'm thinking something along the lines of OceanCraft, from what I saw that looks like a mod that could really liven up the oceans. Also, I like Ender_Pe's idea about making the fish into entities so you can spear fish them. I'm thinking there could be an actual spear item; single use, but you can pick it up, useable as a weapon (albeit low damage - perhaps comparable to a stone sword), but can also be thrown into water to spear fish.
And while I'm considering fish being made entities, that might provide a practical use for something like coral - fish could be attracted to undersea plants (they contain algae and the like), so you can lure fish from the sea or rivers into a private lake or something.
Just my 50 cents worth!

Sep 18, 2014MCZaphelon posted a message on [Official] Microsoft has Bought Mojang and a message from Notch.Of course I don't blame Notch. Owning a company as large as Mojang has got to be a difficult job, and I understand his position (I actually think the deal was finalised at 2.5 billion dollars, and that's an insane amount of cash). And, of course, I speak from experience, being an avid community man myself. I'm maintaining a mod at the moment, and over the course of the past two years in particular, I've noticed that it's become increasingly difficult to update, and cater for the people that use it. I think many people have found that over those two years, the modding community has dried up.Posted in: News
The game has become better, by a great deal since Beta, which was when I took up Minecraft. I've just been getting the feeling recently that Mojang have become somewhat unreliable at delivering important features that the game's future will rely on. After all, the community is perhaps the most crucial aspect of Minecraft's success, and limiting people's ability to create mods is not going to have a positive outcome. However, on the other hand, I must admit that the recent work on Command Blocks has me a little more optimistic.
Trust me, the last thing I want to become is another run-of-the-mill 'whiner'. All I'm saying is, it would be nice, and I think change is good for Minecraft at this point. -
Sep 18, 2014MCZaphelon posted a message on [Official] Microsoft has Bought Mojang and a message from Notch. One thing i must point out is this:Posted in: News
History has proven time and time again that Mojang says one thing, and does another, the prime example being the elusive Plugin API. It's been promised for every major update since 1.3 (which came out almost two years ago). We're still waiting on that. Name changes were supposed to be a 1.8 feature, but instead a truckload of much less necessary features were added. Again, I'm waiting for that, Mojang.
So I've become slightly skeptical to whatever the developers say.
"We'll never sell Minecraft!"
Just another example of how they've let me down. This isn't to say that I think this deal is going to crash and burn; on the contrary, I think Microsoft have more resources to turn Minecraft into the game it should be. All I'm saying is that it would be nice to trust the word of Mojang again. -
Sep 16, 2014MCZaphelon posted a message on [Official] Microsoft has Bought Mojang and a message from Notch.I hope dearly that Microsoft don't ruin what a great game Minecraft is right now. That being said, I'm hopeful that Microsoft will push for more community features to be added to the game, which, IMO, it is severely lacking *cough* Mod API *cough*.Posted in: News

well obviously. the main idea is that the actual pre-releases (not development versions) be as identical to the final product as possible, because it gives modders a head-start on their mods.Quote from KaosC57
I dont think that the pre release is much different from the final product (other than bugfixes) and i am stoked to see what will happen with the texture packs and what 1.4 will have in store.

Personally I'd suggest making sure that DirectX is up to date. I dunno if that'd make much of a difference but it's a good starting point. Other than that, there are many threads on the issue of 'pixel format not accelerated', so just punch that into google and you should get some forum topics with other suggestions.
Best of luck!

For a PC, yes, but this is a laptop we're talking about. the i3-4030U Processor is found in notebooks. Plus, 1.9GHz isn't Stone Age tech, that'll still get the job done when it comes to Minecraft. The biggest bottleneck here is the integrated graphics chip.

"Is Modded: Very likely; Jar signature invalidated"
I presume you're using mods? If not, then it's likely the Minecraft files are corrupted. Apart from that, the error log is, at least to me, not letting on a great deal. If you've tried un-installing and re-installing like you say and it hasn't worked, then maybe install Java (I'd recommend Java 7 and not 8). Not guaranteeing anything, but legacy Java could work better than the custom version Mojang ships with the installer package.
While this is true, you won't be able to join an online session (multiplayer server) when playing offline. If you're going to be playing single player, then I'd recommend just sticking with Offline mode for now, unless it's that much of a bugbear.

Nowhere near that, I'm afraid. Not that you'd ever need a frame counter so obscenely high x3
For starters, the 2.5GHz means your PC can run 2.5 billion SINGLE calculations per second. In addition to your OS, when you're playing Minecraft, you're using quite literally millions of calculations per second.
And that's not the only limiting factor, your graphics card also has an inbuilt processor which is dedicated entirely to rendering, and based on the speed of THAT processor and how hard it's working (depends how intense the graphics are in the game you're playing), you'll be using at the very least tens of thousands of those calculations per second as well.
So in the end it really comes down to which processor is using the most calculations per second, and that's your limiting factor. In a very basic sense, if your CPU is your limiting factor and runs at 2.5GHz using a million processes per second, then your framerate is 2.5GHz / 1MHz = 2500 fps. So really you'll be expecting to be using tens of millions every second on your CPU.

This looks like the age old graphical error in which MC tells you that your video card drivers are out of date. Could we perhaps take a look at your PC specs? I presume it worked before Windows 10 was installed? In the interim, here's a few things you could try:
- Install Java if you don't have it / Reinstall it if you do. I recommend Java 7, not 8.
- Go onto your graphics card's manufacturers website and download the latest drivers.
- Install the latest DirectX (I've heard that helps).
Feel free to PM me for assistance if you feel the need to ^-^

Looks like your issue is caused by Forge or Optifine trying to access classes that aren't there. This means one of two things:
- Outdated Forge or Optifine, or
- Corrupt installs of mods
Personally, I've had issues getting Forge and Optifine playing nice with one another in the past, but it looks as though the compatibility patch is being called up in the log, which makes it a little confusing. Nevertheless, try removing Optifine and attempting a launch of the game. If you could get back to me with the results, that'd be swell :3
Either that, or try installing them both again, that might solve it. Lastly, check that the Forge and Optifine versions are up to date. sp614x should mention in the release notes whether or not a particular version is compatible with Forge.
Happy modding! ~MCZ

I'm thinking, since this comes up even in vanilla, it might be an issue with the game's resources (in other words, the rain overlay/sounds might have been inadvertently deleted at some point). In that case, you might try going into %appdata%/.minecraft and deleting the 'resources' folder, and the game might try and re-download them fresh.
I don't think I need to stress the importance of backing it up if you do so though, at least if it goes south then you'll be able to restore the data to what it was before.
One question so I can be sure though, did this issue come up before Optifine was installed? I'm guessing no, and in which case it's probably got to do with the mod interfering with the resources. If that's true, it might be wise to alert sp614x to this issue so that s/he can see if there's a problem within Optifine itself.
Good luck! ~MCZ

To reiterate what grimallq said, NoClassDefFound means one of two things:
a ) The file a mod is looking for is corrupted and can't be properly accessed, or
b ) The file a mod is looking for doesn't exist in the first place.
And since the coremod is specifically designed to work with 1.8 and not 1.7, we're talking about the latter. In short, you're trying to make a mod work with a version it was not designed to work with. Either use the corresponding 1.7 version of the mod or remove it altogether. That should prevent any issues with the coremod on a version-compatibility basis. If crashes persist, it'll most likely be mods clashing with one another.
0
That'd probably be the Endercore version, as I don't think Forge versions are written like that. Plus, it's specifcally invoked by Endercore, and not Forge itself. Give that a try and see how it goes, best of luck!

I know I'm late to the party here, but could you not just generate a cube of air at the bottom of the chunk? If you are using the oregenerator, it potentially loads the adjacent chunks in order to fill in the blocks. How about just generating a 16x6x16 sided cube of air for each chunk at bedrock level?

I'm the first one here in over a year? Wow, that seriously sucks. I remember this API back in its heyday :3 Using the integrated forge hooks has taken over the integration of my mod, but heck, it's still a shame to see the end of a very good API. And for the few updates I used this for, it was brilliant. Well done Pudelhund, and kudos.

Well, you probably won't be seeing me on the server, since I really only play on private servers with my friends. That being said, well done! I had a look at the website, and it looks like you've gone to a lot of effort to put this together and get involved with the community!
