Hey! Version for 1.2.5 worked perfectly! Version for 1.3.2.... not AT ALL for me! I have no idea, I have installed version 4.1 of SPC/WorldEdit then installed Wecui and no luck, it does not crash but there is no ui for WE! But I do have ModLoader installed, apparently that causes Wecui not to work? or...?
Have you ever wanted to craft your own Chainmail Armor? I'm sure some of you have... SO I came up with this, a simplistic mod (if someone is willing to make it for me) that offers the ability to harness burning fire like it was any other block... the wick on a stick. It is a stick with a flammable material located in the area where axe, or shovel heads and the like are located!
Here's an image for you all:
Yea, I know. Basic, simple, possibly a bad idea but I still think this would be useful...
How would you craft it? You would craft by first crafting a stick (duh) then place it in a crafting table along with some wool (any color) (to burn) and a piece of string to attach the wool. Put them in a line like you would a shovel or a sword: stick on bottom, string in middle, and wool at top. And voila, you have yourself a wick!!
So what do you do to harness the flame? WELL, if you want the flame block (yes, I am fully aware that you can just cheat and get the flame block, or even the chainmail armor, from the TMI menu, but this would be a more legit way...) all you have to do is first, MAKE SURE that the WICK is selected in the hotbar. NEXT, like you would with any other item (or none at all) in hand, just LEFT CLICK IT! And BANG! You have the fire block within your grasp!
Another IMPORTANT option: If you left click, the flame on the block GOES OUT and is now in your inventory only, IF YOU RIGHT CLICK on the flame with the wick, you will still get the flame but the flame will simply be SPREAD to your inventory and NOT gone from the block it was once on!!!!
Usability Note: The wick is only GOOD FOR 8 uses, once you have used it 8 times, it will break and you will need to craft a new one!!!! The reason I chose 8 is because of 2 reasons: 1. 8x8 is 64 (max stack count). 2. The largest amount of an object such as iron, diamond, etc. for armor is 8 blocks (chestplate) so I figured that is is good number, especially for what it does!
Hope you liked this idea, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me what you think, I would LOVE to hear some feedback from the readers, thanks everyone, it means a lot!!!!
First of all, THANK YOU for getting this updated! Yea, it's a smaller version but I understand how much hard work it would have taken, it will do for now... That being said, I know comments like this are not always accepted lightly but if it would be possible, please work on /noclip sooner rather than later, that is something I REALLY need for what I wanna do!! Thanks again.
Hey! Well after I checked out the newest snapshot for Minecraft 12w32a or "1.4" as commonly referred to I saw their "Work in progress" block, or the "Beacon Block" and I LOVE what it can do and all. So I was wondering: is it possible for someone to MAKE a block based off of this? KEEP IN MIND: I realize that it would be difficult to add identical or even similar FEATURES for this custom block, but it's not that big of a deal to me anyway, I just LOVE the 'skylight' concept, this beam shining all the way up to the highest point in the sky would be a BRILLIANT way to at least find your way back to your home, especially at night!
Please, I mean PLEASE someone make a block like this, similar look and feel but possibly without the effects it gives, a beam would be enough and it would also make an AMAZING decoration for your town or house! Thanks SO much for any feedback!!
Just in case you aren't sure what I'm talking about, here it is:
as I've said it's an incompatibility error with optifine and this mod, the error it's self is the two mods alter and change the video settings menu in there own way with optifine claiming dominance, if the modder would take this into account and add the mod as an addition to optifine's code that would make it compatible in it's own right, the only thing you'll need to do then is create a standalone and a optfine compatible version if your were to go by this idea.
Alright then, I didn't see that posted. Thanks for replying. And this is a great idea btw.
:/ I can't help. The reason why it is lagging is because you do not have enough RAM to run Minecraft and the rest of the computer efficiently. Thanks for being detailed though, it saves time! Also, have you tried OptiFine?
Yeaa I figured, I just can't afford a new computer and I'm too lazy to get a job... :/ thanks so much for replying, and yup, already using optifine.. oh well.
Well, I'm using it... I'm probably doing it wrong but it's having NO effect on my computer, my Minecraft still works as usual, no crashes..
OS: Win7 32-Bit (administrative rights)
Ok, I opened up the 'AA Client_S 2.3' (I don't know what the difference is between 'D' and 'S'..)
Then at the fist message, the "=" I typed in 1 (Client)
As a desired name I just typed MClientAA
Mem = 1024
Aggressive Memory Conservation: Y
Everything Ok? Y, ENTER. Done... I opened it w/ MC.. nothing. IDK. :/
BTW: I have only 1GB RAM and usually only get between 8-20FPS (which is awful)...
