I don't get what you mean by "end portal". There is no end portal in the map.
At the start, when you fall through the gravel, you actually fall through an end portal.
It's probably a game bug or a mod, not anything to do with the map

I just thought that modding seems daunting but it is actually very easy.
I play on Mac, so this is how to easy install.
Step 1: Download the Mod
Step 2: Open the mod file
Step 3: Copy all of the .class files
Step 4: Change minecraft.jar to a folder
Step 5: Paste all of your .class files in the mine craft.jar folder, which is located in (username)/Application Support/minecraft/bin
Step 6: Press replace all if asked.
There you have it, it is really quite simple. To install mod loader just follow the instructions on the mod loader thread.

To delete it, open minecraft launcher and then go options-force update. It will uninstall the mod manager
Please help. I want to install mods, but I just can't without messing with minecraft.jar. WinRAR isn't free, and I don't want to mess with important files anyway. The Mod Manager won't work ever since 1.3.1, even though it is version-dependent. It just says, "Can't open game files." It's definitely NOT error code 1 or 2. Can you please help? And do you have any recommendations for mods that are updated to 1.3.2? Thank you in advance.

On Mac, it just says minecraft, not minecraft.jar. How do I see this and change this because I can't get the game to load because of this.
And two, does this work with Technic pack and are there any video tutorials on how to install mods with this mod.

I hate the whole XP system to begin with. They never should have put it in. Minecraft was designed extremely well to begin with, because mining and killing mobs had their own built-in rewards, which allowed for progression. XP is "a wizard did it". XP is "the game plays itself".
I got into Minecraft because I loved finding out the next thing to craft. Enchanting is the end of crafting, and the beginning of grinding.
That said, the XP system seems balanced right now. It makes zero logic, and it feels extremely clunky, but never mind that. All I'm saying is they seem to have got the numbers about right. According to my normal style of play, with a healthy mix of mining, farming, building, fighting, and exploring, I seem to be hitting level 30 every time my pickaxe wears out. I have also been able to maintain a spare Silk Touch pickaxe, which I only touch when I have a project that requires those blocks.
Rather than Enchanting though, my wish for Minecraft would be that advancing beyond diamond pickaxes required some skill. There's a great Standard Galactic Alphabet thing going on; why don't they make that into a thing? What if bookshelves could be arranged in those letter shapes to help get certain enchantments? If you hate enchanting so much, then just don't do it. It's not like they force you to do it and, also, I only just got mine craft in 1.3, but, it seemed as if it took ages to get level 50, so they're not making it take hours and hours to get max level enchantments
I dunno how you have your hand setup, but this is how I have mine. Pinkie on shift, ring on A, middle alternating between W and S, index on D and thumb on space. If you're still having problems with sneaking, it may be because of lag.
I passed it, but changed sneak to caps lock so I didn't have to hold down the button to kepp sneaking, makes it easier for me
