Just think about it, EE2 was fun and all the tools were awesome.
Fundamentally disagree, all of the tools and mechanics in EE2 were annoying and missed the entire point of Minecraft's design. I play EE2 every time I turn on creative mode and don't need to install the mod to do it, thus much of the design was, in addition to being terrible, was also lazy and uninspired.

Yeah, they were OP but, who cares?
Sever Admins, one of the main reasons Pahimar, IN THIS VERY THREAD cited as one of the reasons he's making such massive changes to the mod's core identity, so that more people will actually use most of it rather than shut off most of it to keep their servers from being a glorified chat room bolted on to the single player creative mode.

Remember that were also getting more focused updates soon as well. Until the nether is the focus we won't see any huge game changing stuff for it. So at least were getting a little until then.
Well I find that there's a pretty big problem with adding "ores" to the nether. Netherrack is a "noisy" block, and ore textures would either stand out garishly on it or be easily lost in it. We need a cleaner "stone" like block for the ore to go into.

Not in a game where they never did in the first place.

By all rights, bullets should have far more killing power IRL than in games, so if you give every gun in every FPS the ability to instantly kill on a torso shot, would that not be OP?
You have that FPS analogy backwards. Bullets in video games are orders of magnitude more lethal and accurate than their real life counterparts. People can and have survived entire clips being emptied into them from short range, while others die from a single bullet to a non-vital area. And even then bullets aren't instantly lethal like games portray, often requiring extensive bleeding to even risk existential danger to your target.

One of the big things about Alchemy is Equivalent Exchange. Hence the mod name. It's all about equal conversion, since matter is neither created or destroyed, losing EMC for some reason would lose the heart of the mod.

And how do you propose reassembling these things, much less breaking them down without adding any energy to the system? While matter and energy are neither created or destroyed, they are pretty regularly changed-- which was the other half of your big point. Heck that's the whole underlying point of the mod on the whole, changing matter and energy back and forth to make something more than both. Losing EMC as part of the creation process would represent that whole thing about change without making it too terribly unwieldy.

Did you guys know that Thaumium tools hold the same amount of Precaentio as the amount needed to make the ingots in a crucible? It makes repairing them really cost effective, a sword costs 1/3 of an ingot (3 nuggets) to repair in this fashion, and a pick costs 5/9ths of an ingot. Grated it completely breaks down the tool back into thaumium ingots but that only matters after you've gotten an enchanting table (which I don't have, no diamonds).

I'm having a problem updating MultiMC. Every time I try it gives me an "unexpected parameter" error showing an incorrect and incomplete file path ("Files\Games\Minecraft\MultiMCUpdate.exe" Rather than "D:\Program Files\Games\Mincraft\MultiMCUpdate.exe", leaves the update as it's own separate file, which leaves a process in my system every time I load an world. This process also prevents the program from updating itself again resulting in having to keep the Task Manager open every time I want to run the program.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Still getting this error.

actually it's always had influence from the series... but that's not saying much. it was an action series about alchemy. ignoring it entirely would almost neccessitate that alchemy was boring. in real life... it was pretty dull. it was memorization of dozens of symbols, boiling ground metals, and watching corpses decay to try to figure out how "lesser metals" could become gold by speeding up the "natural process"... like an extended version of radioactivity half-life.
Just the name, as EE2 had literally nothing in common with FMA, and EE3 appears to be drawing from the same sources that FMA was, making the resemblance incidental at best. No, ignoring the manga/animes does not necessitate alchemy being boring, as that's a fallacy as not making it like FMA does not mean you are making it like real life, because real life alchemy was the precursor to chemistry.

Ok, I have a feeling it might be useful for adventure map makers, but, if possible, could you give an example of what someone could do with it?
AND and NAND gates now only take up one block if you can set the capacitor to only engage when the signal of both inputs are on leading into an output line. Complex locks and hidden switches can be compacted due to being able to be combined with locked repeaters.

And that's without a firm grasp on redstone's inner workings.

Malign means unstable or corruptive or evil.

basically... if you see one of those nodes that look like a blackhole consider that a dangerous node, don't think you want to be pumping flux into the air near it unless you like getting wisp spammed to death.

Actually I think those are the nodes that give you that message about something being released into the air or something along those lines in response to flux giving you the mining fatigue debuff.

Also as a suggestion for future development: Thaumically enhancing wolves. Collars that act similar to the golem animation cores (strength increases damage, perceptive detects mobs further away, speedy increases, well speed, and intelligent lets them use certain magic tools (think Amateratsu from Okami) or maybe lead other wolves), maybe some kind of food that grants them the power of certain aspects (like fire or flight).
