Anyways, it looks like you want ClassicLight, which makes lighting resemble that of 1.7 with some fancy optional extra features.
No I looked at that, it only removes the void fog and changes the light color. Does not re-add the glows. I'm just looking for like in the picture how torches and signs look.
I'm trying to install the drivers for my ol' trusty GeForce 8400GS but I'm having so much hassle. When I try the install (with commands that look completely alien to me), I get the errors along the lines of: "Driver not compatible", "You need to close X server" and some other one which is mainly numbers (possibly a hex number, **** knows why)...
So yeah, any help?
N.B. I'm new to the Linux platform, so as much detail as possible so a) I won't go wrong and :cool.gif: I can learn something from the experience. :happy.gif:
Well linux usually handles that for you, If you go up in the zyztem or admin tab There zhould be zomething like hardware updatez, or Device Updatez. Anywayz it haz the up-to-date working/tezted verzion of the driver you can enable there, and then it zhould let u play gamez
Ok, I agree with the torches, they should be brighter. But the coloured signs is a mod, so the creator of that mod is the one who changed the glow on signs not Notch. But if it was Notch, he would not of intentionally stopped glow on a mod.
no the colored zignz iz NOT a mod, that iz the 1.7 lighting. Thatz run on a server with no plugins too!sorry my s key on my keyboard is broke I wasn't using the on-screen keyboard for that reply.
I was saying that the colored signs aren't a mod, they are default in the game. Just a plugin is needed to make them, but once made no plugin/mod is needed to render them. They glow in 1.7 by default but NOT in 1.8+
Hey I have been missing the old glows from 1.7 that all the torches had, and the signs colored letters used to glow too!
1.8+ removed them and I have been searching everywhere for a mod with no real luck. Found mods to remove coloring from 1.8+ but thats not what I'm looking for.
Anyone know of a mod that restores the old 1.7 color glows, redstone torch glows, and torch glows? Or anyone willing to make one?
By default, OpenGL treats the X and Y coordinates as screen coordinates, and the Z coordinate as the "third dimension" which comes out of your monitor, or goes inside of it.
That makes sense when using OpenGL for something very simple like a stationary scene, you know, a rotating cube or teapot. But not for a world in which you can walk around in, and look around in every direction, like every first person computer game is.
It is extremely easy with OpenGL to choose your own camera matrix, as well as to define the names and meanings of axes. So nothing is in the way of choosing the more logical names.
I wish Minecraft would have chosen their axis names according to the real world:
X and Y for horizontal movement and Z for height
or
Longitude and Latitude for horizontal movement and Height for height
Yeah don't have $60+ for one that would work on my PC. Also almost everything I've read says Minecraft doesn't run off your graphic cards cause it doesn't see it as a game but, instead a program since it runs off of Java.
Yes it DOES run off of your graphics card mostly, your GPU is what does all the rendering, the CPU does the chunk updates, and the memory just stores data. Really memory is the least important to MC but without it setup right can lag. Your GPU does MOST of the work on minecraft, like ALL of it.

try removing your mods for the game, then try again. And/Or update your game!

Turion? Are you on a laptop? That would be most of it, Plus you need a better Graphics card. An Intel GMA card SUCKS!
