try seed "music"
If it doesn't spawn you near them then try going to 0,0 coordinates. -

Oh, they'll still have crap to complain about! They will!!! They'll show you...they'll show you ALL!
Mwa ha ha haaa!!!
Ahem, anyway...I really like this snapshot! There's so much good to talk about, that I can only bother with the negatives.- I'm disappointed that the new trees (except for the mega spruce) don't have their own wood. However, I'm not worried about this because it is only the first snapshot.
- I kind of wish snorkling potions were brewed out of gills or something, but whatever.
- The Birch Forest probably should just be a sub biome of the (Deciduous) Forest. The fact that it has a different coloured grass suggests that it is its only biome, which annoys me. Reason being that it seems like such a specific biome. Birch Forest. Only birches. That's the type of ecosystem you find within (Deciduous) Forests anyway.
- Extreme Hills, just for the sake of people shutting up about them and realism, should be renamed to Alpines.
- The world is still too...well, short. There's 255 layers, but only 128 are really used. I reckon in the future, the sea level should be raised to layer 96 (allowing for more layers for mining, much larger caverns and deeper oceans). Clouds should then be raised to layer 224 (I personally think the clouds would be more out of the way if they were much higher up). Then, mountains should be raised to be much higher (But only Alpines should go higher than the clouds). Then (Aren't I a demanding person?), the layers at which snow falls should be raised, because seeing snow not-that-much-higher than the rest of the world is off-putting.
- I'd love to see rivers generate across multiple layers, instead of each river always be at the same layer.
- I'd also love to see the Chaparral biome added. You know, the kind of biome you find around the west coast of the Americas (and Western Australia, coast of the Mediterranean and parts of South Africa). It has large rolling hills, dull green grass and lots of shrubs.
- The particles upon landing are strangely coded. Instead of appearing exactly where the player landed, they form on the middle of the block that the player landed on, leading to the particles appearing out-of-place most of the time.
The lack of giant trees is still painful. The forest is not a forest if you can clearly see daylight and forests are not made out of 4-7 meter high trees. Take a look at few seconds of this old clip and admire how real forests should be generated
Also replacing ocean floor with 100% gravel is not enough, rivers and lakes still have the most ugliest ocean floors ever existed in this universe (I don't know how uglier it can get). It desperately needs to be rewritten to generate smooth sand edges, paths of gravel and dirt. -

im assuming (Whether its true or not) that you thought i meant all redstone is crap. I know redstone has added a lot but daylight sensors? seriously? and trapped chests and weighted pressure pads? thats pretty silly to add I guess the redstone update isnt THAT bad but its pretty pointless. remember this is just my opinion im not gonna take it to Mojang or anything
Im just saying this is how it's being directed; in a similar manner to what jagex did with runescape? i never said that runescape was a sandbox adventure game? nor did i say that jagex is mojang? im just saying mojangs acting the same as they did? its all a matter of my opinion? Are you punctuationally confused.
do you even imagine how much and how minecraft is played all over the world? This is not a regular mmorpg, this one of the most free and open games of this generation and you have no Idea how many people are using the features they're adding. And in about redstone stuff, the idea itself that sensors and trapped chests are silly and useless just makes me and many other players laugh. -

maybe, but I really like the way they add it, without hurting anyone else who's not interested. It's much different than those industrial mods, much more basic and easy to understand, not overwhelming at all. -

Thanks! I can't deny I haven't noticed your pack too. To be honest i was planning doing something very similar to your pack, creating a 32x32 pack for more detailed shading but still keeping simple shapes.

I think it's because I wanted to stay more faithful to the vanilla textures so vanilla builds would not lose their meaning. For example I was using cracked stone bricks as actual cracks in the walls instead of decorations.

I've never seen that pack but wow, cellcraft really looks a lot like it, it almost makes me feel bad how similar it is.

This is an updated version of the original texture pack here. The creator decided to abandon it and allowed me to update and make changes as I want. Please note that the majority of textures are unchanged, so give credit to 98devin for inspiration. The style of this pack are cartoon-like colors, shapes and cellshading with some extra blockyness. Feel free to post any feedback and suggestions.I also had plans for 32x version, CTM textures, or even a version with specular and bump maps for shaders, but other things are taking more of my time and minecraft is going out of my radar :/
~99% of textures for 1.7.9 are done. I think only the zombie and skeleton horses are missing
Maybe you ACTUALLY use this pack and want it updated to 1.8? Please tell me!

One problem though, stained clay is very widely used as a smooth textured building block, often to color something in 1 smooth color on various maps and servers, but your stained clay is all over the place. It is very nicely done and wonderful to use on singleplayer, but I'd like it all to be orientated towards vanilla counterparts.
Also how do I get rid of wood slabs transforming into dirt/gravel slabs? I have structures with them and it is all dirty now.
Also CTM for planks is a little weird. The idea behind it is good but it does not work well when you use a lot of stairs and slabs in the structure. Here's an example of how inconsistent it is when I used tons slabs (entire floor) and stairs.
