Awesome, though not very pretty lol.
What if you made a glass tube that the carriage travels through? That would be cool if you could work around the slime blocks sticking to it

Did you recently unhook your 360 and re-set it up again? You have to be using an HD cable in order to support split screen. That is the only reason I can think of why it wouldn't be working.
Thanks that fixed the problem! I was using av cables before

It would be awesome to see if this kind of weaponry will be viable in the future where we actually have threatening air ships!Posted in: Redstone Creations
Jun 1, 2014MCFUser623813 posted a message on Can you play multiplayer without a Gold membershipRecently lost my gold membership, and I'm trying to play split-screen offline but for whatever reason it's not working. I created two new offline accounts for my brother and I (because our other accounts are very annoying to log into now that we don't have gold), and for whatever reason it won't let us do split screen. I'll log us both in and start up a world and whenever I try to get the 2nd controller to engage in split screen, it wont work. I've checked the settings and split-screen multiplayer is enabled but whenever I press the start button on controller 2, nothing happens. Any ideas?Posted in: MCX360: Discussion
Aug 19, 2013MCFUser623813 posted a message on Super Small Portcullis (3-high Gate)! Fast! (4 Wide!)I've successfully created a 4 wide portcullis! It's a 3 block high opening version.Posted in: Redstone Creations
It's pretty fast too! Resource friendly! (except sticky pistons). World download at bottom.
Uploaded with ImageShack.com
(The bottom two layers are sticky pistons, the top layer are normal pistons.)
Close up front redstone
Other side view.
Additional Portcullis Closer! (All normal pistons.)
The design uses a lever, but if you want to use a button (and you do), just insert this simple pulse-lengthener to your button. (It's a normal piston.)
How it works:
So basically, I managed to create a small circuit that just makes sure the pistons extend and retract in the correct order initially. Not to brag or anything... but it doesn't even use repeaters. ya. It's the bundle of torches on the right of the machine (when facing the front). Then I just have a falling edge detector to retract the top row of pistons a second time.
Now it's fast, but it's not fast enough to keep up with the falling sand, unfortunately. I'm not sure it is possible to make it faster, and I've tinkered with it a lot, but if you can, I'd love to see it! Bonus points if you keep it small!
World download (for you lazy miscreants):

Jul 6, 2013Oh wait actually that may have been wrong because a daylight sensor doesn't power the block below it. But basically it you need to connect the sensor to both the inverted route and the verted route. Get what I'm saying?Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms
Jul 6, 2013I know what you're talking about. I think I have the solution. Just gimme a sec...Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms
(5 minutes later...)
Okay I got what you're looking for. I know may way around a portcullis, so this should do the trick.
SIDE/ DIAGONAL(ISH) VIEW KINDA
