I wanted a simple mini-mod that would simply fix problems with the pistons, redstone, etc. (and a few other things that bother me).
Fixes-
Pushing up water- Something that annoyed me big-time was how water couldn't really be pushed up, source or not, to a different location. It pushes up whatever water source is above it. If there's no walls keeping it in, the water will roll off of the sides. I'm not worrying too much about the physics of it or not, seeing the minecraft world is already blocky and trees can float without something connecting it to the ground.
Powering up a netherrack with redstone will set it on fire-Thought it would be nice to have a on-off fireplace if something were to go wrong, or if you like pressing a lever for fire (maybe for traps or trash-cans?) or only setting on something when its necessary (The noise can get annoying).
And heres one I've been wishing Notch would add for a LONG time-
Controllable pigs when riding- Simple enough, if you ride a pig you can control it. I don't know how fast it should go, I'm thinking the same speed as a pig normally goes, and when sprinting, a bit faster.
Snow doesn't land on half bricks, and stairs, fences, or anything else that leaves snow floating in the air.- This has always annoyed me.

I gotta agree. Really ruins the feel of minecraft. It just pisses my ass off when I see a pvp server based on factions and griefing with the lockette mod, and where anyone can protect their buildings. (Not faction protection, I mean like touch-this-and-you're-ass-****ed-and-or-unable-to-ever-open-this.
The only time I'll join a vanilla server is if it has anti cheat for x-ray textures and mods, flying, speedhack, etc.
I honestly cant wait until notch makes it practically impossible for clients to be made.
First off let me start off to say that I am not fond of most Alpha Users. They sincerely annoy me. They go on and on about how much they hate the new Minecraft and how much they hate hunger and yadda yadda. Its annoys me, what do they not understand by "Hey, you should just get Minecraft downgrader." No one wants to hear your sorry ass rant. It's just one of those things that are a spec of dust among many people who like progress. Have you looked around Alpha player? Have you? The world is changing, MINECRAFT IS CHANGING! No one is listening to your rants. Notch is not listening to your rants. Don't you understand? Your opinion doesn't matter! Notch has had the chance many times to listen to everybody's opinion but do you know what he did? He forgot it. He did what he wanted and I respect that. Some of you players sicken me, No scratch that. Most of you players sicken me! Its just terrible how you hate the progress. What do you think would happen if Minecraft was still in Alpha to this day? Do you know what would happen? There would be nothing to do. You could have a chests full of diamonds. But when your done, you mined every ore every dirt block, every piece of cobblestone, every piece of Iron. But do you know what would happen? You would get board and you would be finished, done. You would probably just quit and go Terraria. Without progress probably most of the people that play Minecraft now will probably would be gone, and the people wont be buying the game anymore. Just think for a moment how good progress is. Its brilliant, its magnificent.
(Sorry i just felt as though I needed to get this out)I am not aiming at all Alpha players. Just the annoying ones. Very sorry If I offended anyone People have been telling me im aiming at the wrong group, i am sorry if i am aiming at the wrong people, correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure its the beta players now.
I'll be honest, I hated alpha. So I guess I'm some sort of rare exception.

Personally, even if I'm not the biggest fan of 1.9/1.8, I can remember how much I hated things before beta.
