Have you tried other transparent blocks? like a wall of stone half steps. would allow for viewing but the narrow slit would be hard to get a fireball through. not perfect, but coupled with glass it would be very hard for them to blow through it. plus they cant get out cause they can't outright destroy cobblestone.
I had thought about the slabs idea. Not sure how "viewable" the ghasts would be. I'll have to give it some thought.
The Ghast exhibit was a failure. For a few reasons. The ghast exhibit had to be big, and I found that ghasts liked to spawn inside of walls, where they get stuck. Ghasts are extremely loud, which makes them extremely annoying, nearly ruining the whole zoo experience. Finally, ghasts destroy the glass walls of their exhibit, which turns into them escaping and floating around the city causing chaos.
My questions are these:
1. If I make the exhibit underground, how many blocks deep would it need to be under the Zoo in order for them to not be heard?
2. Will water stop the fireballs from destroying the glass? I could put water up against the glass inside the exhibit.
3. Do ghasts destroy ice blocks with fireballs? I could use ice blocks for the observing wall.
I payed for Frap, which is low impact on games and records in game audio. It also allows you to record mic at the same time. Its fast and easy to use and records in HD. (you just have to have the room for the large files on your computer)
I'm looking to make some YouTube videos of some interesting projects that I've been working on. I'm looking for something to record my screen in HD. What is recommended for both freeware and payware?
Just curious, would you be able to hear the music from the toilet? Cuz thats one awesome toliet, I'd enjoy sitting on that thing for a few minutes listening to the Indiana Jones theme :tongue.gif: really nice design on the theater too
You can hear the music from the toilet, but the songs I think are too short for sitting on the pot and doing your business :wink.gif:
ANY mod that adds items will break your save if you load it without the mod while having items from it in your inventory. (Or chests, but I think that just means you can't open that chest.) Blocks (like the glass) are "usually" fine. They just vanish if you load the save without that mod that they're from.
Backup your save and bin folders before adding, or removing any mod, or updating Minecraft.
The main issue is that once you load a save without the mods it needs installed, any blocks that the mod added are gone forever. Even if you reinstall the mod that they are from, they're still gone. You would need to add them all back in by hand.
Personally, it doesn't matter to me because I assume that every update I download is going to mean I have to start over with a completely new save. So I don't update until all the mods I like have updated as well, and before updating I backup my entire .minecraft folder so that I can always go back to the old version and my old saves if I want.
lol, alpha-omega? Thanks. I was just really bored and had to make a note block song :tongue.gif:. I've done others (I did the turret opera one, it's somewhere around here), but I felt like taking requests. But it's really nice that you're giving me credit.
Well, I really couldn't think of a name but I knew I wanted to somehow "thank" you since you were one of the only people who worked on any of the challenges. (and a couple of complex ones at that). Also, Alpha-Omega is a reference to God and I think in a way, we are gods who create worlds of our own right? Any way, your music and other buildings are always welcome. The challenges are done, as well as maintaining them but anyone is welcome to add to the city if they have a descent idea and pay attention to details.
