Will residents be reset to novices or are they staying the same?
Nothing will change within the rank structure, so residents will remain residences. This is simply a boost to a fresh start. Only the following will affect you:
I have a little problem
When I edit the groups.yml folder in my world folder in the bpermissions folder and i saved it, i restart the server and it just all disappear
This usually means you have a problem with your YAML. Be sure that:
Spacing - Tabs cannot be used in YAML. Tabs will often decide to creep up on you, this is why notepad++ will turn a line red if there are tabs somewhere in the line. Go back to the beginning of the line and remove any tabs there may be.
Two-space hierarchy - Be sure you are maintaining a two-space hierarchy format when setting up your groups.
Parsing - Always run your YAML through a parser before setting it in motion on your server.
Results are in for our vote of whether or not we're heading off to a clean slate.
Yes - 34 No - 30
Keystone Survival will be heading off to a clean slate and the process will begin today. We can expect temporary whitelist time for maintenance for roughly a week.
FAQ:
So, what does this mean for me?
The following will be renovated:
The map in the main world will be resetting.
Money (Keys) will start off fresh, everyone being at 50 Keys.
Residences will be wiped. It will cost less to set up a residence protection on your property.
mcMMO removal.
Addition of Multiworld. This will consist of an extra world entitled "resource" that will be reset once a week. Users can use this world solely for gathering resources, then return to the main world where they can make use of these resources.
What will I lose?
You will lose any property you had in the main world. Please note that at the time of the reset, a public download for the map will be uploaded in which players can download to their computer and explore in single player. You will also lose any Keys that you had. The idea of this is to start off at a clean slate, be more welcoming to newer players, and be less intimidating. Everyone will have the opportunity to gain Keys once more, however I believe we will be going a bit lighter on the ability to earn Keys this time around.
What is happening during this whitelist time?
A new spawn for our new world will be constructed. The renovations stated above will take place.
Are the Nether and The End being reset AGAIN?
No. We can assure you that it is only the main world being renovated this time around.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. This is a final verdict. The majority of the community voted towards a restart, and the hardware could certainly use it. We kindly ask that no more debating goes on here on the forum thread.
Additional Information:
This restart was highly necessary from a hardware perspective. I can assure you that if we remained in our current state, worlds and files would start to get corrupted, and this would not be a fun process for anyone. Please understand the importance of this process.
Hello everyone. Please do not continue discussion of this matter here on the forums, you may PM me with any questions. I believe I have conducted a sensible solution that should work well for everyone. I have created an online form in which users of every rank will vote. If you have an opinion, please do vote. Our goal is to receive as many votes as we possibly can. I have added the link to the MOTD, and server announcements regarding the form will be periodically made. Results will remain confidential until we've received a reasonable, fair amount of votes. This means nobody but myself will have the results, please do not ask.
Highly important note to ALL staff:
Everyone here as an opinion, including staff. You also understand entirely that you are a very high influence to some. Do not exploit such influence to an extent in which you're campaigning for certain votes. An example of this includes, but is not limited to, "Do you want a survival map reset? Vote NO here!" or "Vote YES on survival map reset!". This WILL result in a demotion. We want everyone's raw votes.
Hi, I would just like to notify everyone of a few changes made to our staff structure.
Well, the thing is both servers in the Keystone network weren't having moderation fulfilled the way it needed to be. Both servers has it's specifics, and it's similarities, let's remember that they're both under the same Keystone umbrella.
This is the newest staff structure.
[Mod] - This is the rank a moderator would have if they work on a specific server. They would be given Resident/Trusted on the other.
[Mod+] - This is the rank that moderators who work both servers will receive. They are promoted from server specific mods. All current moderators have been given this rank automatically.
[Admin] - No changes here. They are promoted from Mod+.
Additionally, welcome our newest moderators to the Keystone staff team, Adlanniel as a dual-server mod, and MaximillianJones as a survival Mod!
Hello. thanks for the quick reply.
I just downloaded the .yaml file you uploaded in paste bin and replaced the one on the server and still doesn't work.
The same thing is still happening, I don't understand why. Everything seems to be okay.
What else could be wrong?
Would you mind posting your most recent copy of your permissions.yml, as well as address any console errors you may or may not be receiving?

You can use regular spaces, just not tabs. But you should maintain a two-space hierarchy. Example:
Thisisthegroup:
permissions:
- this.is.a.permission
- this.is.a.also.a.permission
inheritance:
- thisisaninheritinggroup
options:
rank: '1000'
