Love the title of this thread. It's like giving Bethesda a post-beatdown kick in the butt for good measure.
Not that I don't LIKE Bethesda's games, but I'm all for it. They deserve to be ridiculed.
Or at least, their lawyers do.

Java sucks. -
Sep 27, 2011Luxander posted a message on "Scrolls" Lawsuit Goes To CourtBethesda has some serious problems. They had a chance to redeem themselves and drop the court case, but no.Posted in: News
A great game developer is being a total idiot.
I hope that they get their asses handed to them in court. -
Sep 20, 2011Luxander posted a message on Digital Diamond: Minecraft ParkourFrankly, I don't like how they called it Parkour. This is not Parkour. It is a guy running and jumping. Parkour involves running, jumping, climbing, rolling, grabbing ledges, etc. Minecraft doesn't allow you to do this. However, there are some mods out there that do.Posted in: News
I don't get why the ability to climb ledges hasn't been implemented. With new landforms and mountains and such, we're going to need a better form of vertical transportation than 1x1 towers all the way to the sky. Really. -

Did Notch really mean it when he said he wanted to copy stuff from Terraria...? -

Aug 18, 2011Luxander posted a message on 1.8 Updates: First Ravines, Now RiversSadly, it doesn't seem to have flow, but I believe the purpose of this is to add well-defined generation of rivers so that boats become more useful for traveling.Posted in: News
If only it had flow... -

Either way, it's awesome. -

Seriously, asking for a bunch of money before the court case even starts? They must be pretty desperate, eh?
Frankly, I don't know why they do this. They obviously want money, but they're willing to give up the respect of their fans to do it?
That's just uncool. -

I have a whole .minecraft with craploads of mods somehow working together, just waiting to be completed with the addition of Metallurgy 1.3.
0
I don't think metallurgy is meant to be put in the mods folder at all.
Install it directly into your .jar and see if that works better.

Dude - it's been updated. Check the original post.

Thanks for the quick updates, too.

I'm hoping that isn't the case, because this mod's current version has that overpowered armor issue that I mentioned earlier, and I'm hoping that you can fix that before everything changes and all of the other mods need to be updated....

Also, the tier system works VERY well. But I might recommend downgrading the armor strength a little bit. I made a full set of bronze armor, and I now take a half heart of damage from skeleton arrows on HARDCORE mode.
Other than that, I'm thoroughly enjoying the mod.

It seems that when I put anything into the furnace and cook it, I can get results, but any further cooking does not stack. Rather, what I put into the furnace too cook is consumed, but if there's already something in the result box, it does not give me anything.
The mods I am using are:
-Modloader
-Modloader MP
-ForgeAPI
-PlayerAPI
-ModOptionsAPI
-Optifine
-Smart Moving
-Metallurgy
-Arrows Mod
-Nature Overhaul
-Animal Breeding Extension
I'm guessing that some of the first "requirement" mods (those in dark blue) are not agreeing with each other. Frankly, I wish Metallurgy didn't require THREE mods in order to work. I mean, it's a great mod, but it isn't compatible with many others because of its requirements.
The devs should realize that they would be doing the community a bigger favor by releasing a Modding API, instead of cramming in a bunch of (rather pointless) updates that force modders to update and make it even harder for the game to be modded.

Once you've dealt with the standard updating/bug fixing, what are you going to do next regarding this mod's progression? That is to say, what feature are you planning on adding next?
You can change the button that does that in the Controls menu in game. Change it to some obscure key, like O, and the problem should be solved.

This really ought to be the kind of thing added to vanilla. We have warrior wielding swords, archers shooting with bows... why not mages hastily scrawling runes in the dust in order to smite foes while their party defends him...
This has the potential to be epic. Please continue working on the mod and adding more runes.

However, I wonder also if a modder make some sort of advanced tree growth system that makes trees grow outward slowly, getting bigger over several Minecraft weeks, until they're just absolutely gigantic.
That would be really awesome.

Gold is already very difficult to obtain, and you must use 4 gold to craft one book.
Then, you have to use 4 DIAMONDS to make it useful at all.
Kind of harsh, no?
