Some more progress - Left to Right: Jungle Planks, Jungle Log, Crafting Table top, Crafting Table Side (all sides as of right now, trying to get a better design down perhaps a carving of some sort or actual tools), Furnace Top x3, Jungle Leaves, Furnace Side, Furnace Front Off, Furnace Front On, Tallgrass. (actually got one i was happy with)
EDIT: In game for the leaves and tall grass.

So I made a hopper and a daylight detector to fit some street lights.

A 32x texture pack with slight medieval approach a la John Smith. Even though my goal is to make all blocks 32x, the items will probably stay 64x as they are used from my old texture pack. The pack is still in beta-stage and can of course be changed at any time.

Feedback is always appreciated, and this is your chance to influence the future of this pack.- Tell me what blocks you really like and those you think need to be improved.- Upvote pleople's feedback if you agree with them. It might make me prioritize differently.

Since this is my very first texture pack of this style, I'm more interested in learning the designing techniques rather than making everything unique in my own style. Therefore you might recognize both style and ideas from other packs. Still, every texture is 100% created by me, but like any other artist, I take inspiration from the experts.
I'd like to give credit to John Smith and monsterfisher (who's pack Conquest is also based on John Smith).
Also, the people in the Texture Artists' Union deserves some credit for helpful feedback.

Oh, but that's just the lighting I think.
Thanks! I really like building victorian/roman-esque buildings since I updated those textures.

Here are some blocks that doesn't fit as much for builing though. I hope people don't use coal on their houses... maybe I have to change it to something more neutral if that is the case.

I really like the iron forced idea. Not only useful gameplay-wise, but also will add a nice variety to have 2 versions on an oak-door, one with some iron details and one with less. Stone and sandstone themed doors (that open by sliding upwards or something) would really broaden the thematic builds.
The different wood syndrome might as well go overboard, and I think it's really important to first look for purposes.
Doors is one thing... fences, well sure, but we are closing in... Trapdoors, I cannot find a purpose any longer. What difference would it make to have a different style on a hatch that doesn't really contribute much to design anyway.
One thing I want them to add is a banner texture for window shutters. I made this a while ago:
I don't really agree it's so important to have visibility through the doors. Having it through the regular is sure nice, but usually you have windows anyway. It's important that the doors fill different roles (outside/inside/fancy etc.). Taiine's doors are all consistent with the other textures, so I don't really see the point in adding holes just for the sake of having holes.

I'm actually gonna break the rules on this one and present a white door (birch).
All doors thereby completed:

Decided to have more like a bio-luminecent-esque lamp. Dunno if people will use the lantern in Towns, then it might look weird.

Maybe the regular rock has too differentiating style, hmm...

Charming! I really like how some planks are shorter.
Thanks!
Here are the ones I've made this far:
No fancy pancy 3D structures though... Still I needed to spend 1 hour (or more) just to figure out how to map the textures in a 3D program, to remove the ugly hole in the jungle door.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep the wheat 64x or make a new to fit the 32x.
