Of course the Yogscast explanation is mature and well written to defend their actions. Did anyone expect anything else?
I'm not saying they are lying, I'm saying it can't be used to disprove Mojang's statements. We have two opposing stories, and just because one of them is more mature, it doesn't make it more true.

I really like designing, but it takes too much time, and I easily get bored before the project is finished. So I thought maybe there is someone out there with a similar style that wanna to a texture pack together. I'm not sure yet, I'm just throwing it out there to see if someone at all is interested. Is co-ops a thing?
I'll throw in some pictures to show my style:

I really like the idea, and the blocks alone look nice. It's just that they don't have much multi-purpose uses. I can see myself use them in very specific situations only.

Love this pack!
One issue I have with it though is that snowy grass still has lots of green grass visible beneath. That takes away the winter-feeling when you see all the green and the winter scenes get very cluttered.

Good point, I'll try that.

So I made a hopper and a daylight detector to fit some street lights.

Goal: When I hold a yellow dye and rightclick on one block, the whole pile of wool should change into yellow.
Can you do this?

I like how your textures still looks so retro-pixly and not smooth for being a 64x. Are you using a 1-2 px wide pencil marker and paint all the pixels individually?

Too bad the game doesn't seem to get much more updates.

The last part should have the title "Texture frequency" so you know what it's about. "Extras" doesn't really tell.

Oh, but that's just the lighting I think.
Thanks! I really like building victorian/roman-esque buildings since I updated those textures.

Here are some blocks that doesn't fit as much for builing though. I hope people don't use coal on their houses... maybe I have to change it to something more neutral if that is the case.

I really like the iron forced idea. Not only useful gameplay-wise, but also will add a nice variety to have 2 versions on an oak-door, one with some iron details and one with less. Stone and sandstone themed doors (that open by sliding upwards or something) would really broaden the thematic builds.
The different wood syndrome might as well go overboard, and I think it's really important to first look for purposes.
Doors is one thing... fences, well sure, but we are closing in... Trapdoors, I cannot find a purpose any longer. What difference would it make to have a different style on a hatch that doesn't really contribute much to design anyway.
One thing I want them to add is a banner texture for window shutters. I made this a while ago:
I don't really agree it's so important to have visibility through the doors. Having it through the regular is sure nice, but usually you have windows anyway. It's important that the doors fill different roles (outside/inside/fancy etc.). Taiine's doors are all consistent with the other textures, so I don't really see the point in adding holes just for the sake of having holes.

I'm actually gonna break the rules on this one and present a white door (birch).
All doors thereby completed:

Decided to have more like a bio-luminecent-esque lamp. Dunno if people will use the lantern in Towns, then it might look weird.

Maybe the regular rock has too differentiating style, hmm...
