Hey sorry I haven't been on. Sometimes I can't connect to server and rest of time it's just too damn laggy to play. Don't think I can do mcpe :/ online anyways.
Yeah the struggle is real. I to find legit 24/7 survival servers, thats kinda why i started hosting, second i heard about the minecraft game coming to sony ps3, and then ps vita i went out and bought two dedicated game consoles for the games exclusively to host the server, mind you obviously i play other games but these consoles sole purpose is to host for their respective platforms (PS vita, ps3, ps4, and now Wii u), my IGN on all platforms is supernet2 though.
Funny thing about the console edition versions, they have the issue with staying up 24/7, truly a nightmare to keep a "true" 24/7 survival server up and running while juggling griefers, its quite a nightmare.ny s
Funny thing for just $25-35 you can easily host your own minecraft PE, and or Minecraft (PC edition the java version that isn't a watered down version of PE on console, and or mobile), just slot out CentOS, or flat out linux and run wine, and your golden, personally i keep a 100% private raspberri pi server up and active 24/7 that is my mirrored minecraft PE server that is listed in another build.
I dont think an MCPE server is worth the $25-35 because there isn't an stable full feature server software. Maybe when they release the official software. Also $25-35 is a lot of money where I live. And why woould you load CentOS or any other linux distro if you are going to use wine? Isn't it better to run windows directly? Or run pocketmine or genisys or any other on linux distro?

Hypixel pe (pe.hypixel.net:19132) nice, smooth, and balanced. But I think today was the last day of their alfa tests.
Cookie build (pe.cookie-build.com:19132) I use it mostly for build battle but they have skywars and more I think-
LBSG: (the ip changes according to the game. Check lbsg.net) It has lots of minigames and balanced non p2w vip ranks the only problem is the huge ammount of hackers there, kids dating, and horrible lag at times (at least for me) Still playable but recently I was dissapointed about the apparent lack of interest the developers put into their servers. Many ppl enjoy them thou. I think its the biggest and most famous server for pe.
For survival:
Almost non existent.
Leet Servers. there are a bunch of servers hosted by leet (just check the forums) but since everyone can make one the quality is almos always crap and tend to dissapear after a week. They are always asking for donations to stay alive. And leet hosting isnt the best either
Poketmine or others. Almost same as leet. There are a bunch. Tends to be a little better than leet since it requires more effort to run one of those
From these I would recommend WSE (wse.mine.bz:19132) And its reddit r/worstserverever
Also all the servers lack many main mc features (survival or creative) bc as i said before there is no official server software.
And last but not least. Some ppl run the standard mc local multiplayer but they tweak it to work online. Trully vanilla with mobs and everything. No plugins, no commands. But all suffer from lag spikes and the 5 player limit. the ones I know are active now are:
Supernet2's Server (71.206.237.228:19132) Very active. There is a huge post about it on the first page of the servers forum. Link here.
ARBT's server (mcpeserv.anagramofbrat.net:19132) Alsa a good and active server but Its down for now until april 10 :c You can read more on their reddit r/arbtserver.

Some routers have their own firewall. I dont think thats the problem though, but you might want to check that.
Have you tried to completelly remove MCPE (back up your worlds first) and then install it again?
Other that that im out of ideas.
You can submit the bug to the bugtracker, or ask for help at mcpe's subreddit.
I wasn't talking about money, I was talking about some goodies and special treatment on your server and the rank of Logo Maker or something like that xD. But I guess that wont be possible.
Anyhows, I still can make it if you want. I'm not that good though but I need the practice.

They should be in the internal storage/games/com.mojang/minecraftworlds
Just copy everything inside minecraftworlds folder to another location.
uninstall mcpe
delete everything else on the games folder
reinstall mcpe
put the worlds back in its place
That always works for me when my minecraft acts strange.

Were you able to connect to those servers before?
There are many reasons that might prevent you from connecting to a server:
- Outdated server
- Outdated client
- Bad internet connection
- Firewalls
- Wrong IP, adress or port
- Somehow your MC broke
