Do you think using F trick to see spawners makes it too easy? If so I may consider not using it when I restart with 7.2 release (I just screwed up Pain water, want to see additional content, and assault EC castle more legitly for that awesome reward).
More Health - Gonna keep my Health at level 5. Im not gonna raise it or lower it
Mo' Creatures - Orcs, Wraiths and many more hard mobs will spawn in the world (Playing on HARD)
sky pirates - I will always be a target in the day time
(hidden mod they added) - There a guys that spawns in the night and he has a gold sword, bow and arrows and also Tp. He has tones of HP so i better run!
Hogofwar's Mods - More mob spawners are in the world !!
And im gonna be doing all this on #7. The hardest map.
The reason why im doing this is to see how hard i can take it, and push myself to the limit
Why all this....simply use that mod that allows mobs to dig to you! :biggrin.gif:
I'm a fairly cautious player, so I'm really wondering how many traps I'll end up falling for here. At least I seem to have gotten over skeletons giving me grey hairs when they shoot at me and scare the hell out of me (although ghasts may be a different story, I'm still afraid of those damned things).
OH! Trust me....the traps don't even look slightly suspicious, with one exception that I know of.
Thanks for the "F" trick. I probably wouldn't have needed that glitched armor (now that I know it is glitched) if I could figure out where the stupid spawners were. Prior to this it was a game of digging blindly, having skeletons shoot and hit creepers, creepers blowing up, making more creepers and zombies flood my tunnel... :huh.gif:
Vechs if you read this, you may want to post the version of Minecraft that the maps are balanced around. If what I've heard about 1.7 is true....then the humble beginning will be pretty much impossible, even though it is supposed to be hard, without place-able webs.
Edit: Never mind...I totally forgot that my original attack on the skeleton spawners did not make use of the spider webs....
I think orange wool is a bit too easy to recover...only required my bare fist. I guess there is the option of coming back later and lighting up the place.....if I need to of course. :unsure.gif:
Hi Vechs,
I just made an account here to say congrats on the release, and that I really love this series of challenging maps!
However, in your new map I do have a question:
While exploring the wooded island area off of Intersection one, I found a ruined town, and somewhere within it, a full set of chainmail armor. Now, I was pretty happy to get even that, but I soon found that it is near indestructible as a full set, much like the gold chestplate in Canopy Carnage. I have yet to see even the durability meter show up, and I am completely immune to damage while wearing it. I even triggered that massive TNT trap in the ruined wheat farm on the island, and even though I was caught directly in the middle of the trap, the armor and I got out completely unscathed. Add to that several massive falls and creeper explosions, and I'm wondering whether this is intentional. I'm happy to have it, as I have yet to die with it on, but I'd rather play it the way you intended. My only mods are Optifog (for FPS) and TooManyItems (which I have yet to even touch and don't plan to until legitly completing the map).
Thanks for any reply! I'm sure others may be confused too.
I'm sure invincible armor does not stand up to the void....oh wait there is a whole catwalk map with A LOT of void. The sheer scale of his explosions will eventually wear it down, save it for when you need it if you can. Ex. Red Wool
Can anyone tell me what the signs in the first skeleton room said? I love those funny jokes, but a creeper blew them up.... It started with something along the lines of "One final tip" or "A second tip", if someone can post what they said it would be much appreciated! :biggrin.gif:
Remember, the longer we wait, the better the map will be. Wouldn't you like it better if he didn't duplicate chests of the same color wool as he has done before by mistake? Take your time Vechs so people don't rant on you later. :tongue.gif:
-Have you tried a small hallway with 1 block thick walls, surrounded in lava, with a creeper spawner nearby? I can see the rage...
-Or maybe placing gravel on tree leaves, so when the tree is chopped down the leaves will decay, making gravel fall, destroying a redstone torch, attached to an inverter activated trap?

Thanks! Obviously I didn't explore it enough to see that glaringly obvious mossy cobble....

Edit: Never mind....Still searching. White wool still seems to evade (if it is in floating shards).

I'm pretty sure Notch fixed this with 1.6 update. I really wanted to try it too....
