    It doesn't because of some of the more "random posts". Also for map makers out there, including Vechs, Nether Brick is very aesthetically pleasing while being essentially the same as mossy cobble (which is usually ugly when un-textured). It also allows players to create fire-proof fences...if you feel nice enough to do that.

    So you are pretty much asking for the start of Nightmare Realm throughout the entire map? One block dug incorrectly results in a game over and restart? Sounds like an intense Roguelike to me.

    If your computer is a dual core computer I suggest (on Windows at least) that you go in to Task Manager with CTRL+ALT+Delete, find javaw.exe (should be the main running program, right click it, and choose set affinity. If you have a dual-core processor...or whatever it is called..you should have 2 computers checked off. Deselect one and save changes.

    In the chance that this is actually helpful, the bad news is you would have to do it every time you enter minecraft.

    Sorry about not responding earlier, I posted right before I went to sleep.

    Anyways, when I go to draw the bow or eat, it starts the animation for a half-second and then just stops. So for the bow, it would just show the re-positioning of the bow with the arrow and flash back to the normal view seen while walking around with the bow.

    I haven't changed anything with my mouse that has been working from 1.8-1.9.6, it just seems to have happened when I upgraded to 1.0.0, BUT when I used Nostalgia to go back to 1.8 the bow wouldn't work. It works fine in 1.7.3 where there are no animations.

    I'm stuck in 1.0.0 with the inability to do anything that requires you to hold down the right mouse button (ex. Eating, drawing a bow, drinking a potion). I've tried deleting the bin minecraft folder along with some other folders in the minecraft directory and re-updating, but I haven't had any luck.

    Is there anything else I can try to get minecraft functioning again?

    Well I finally finished Nightmare Realm, my second victory after Sunburn Islands.



    (note to vechs)
    I really really loved that castle! The blaze spawners were a great attempt to make people follow the normal path, and it was actually fun following that path despite dying a million times. Also, I liked how the red wool tower had a creeper spawner and stairs. It seems like creepers walk so fast on stairs...

    I would have been more happy if I could figure out why 1.0.0 is glitching out on me, forcing me to get the last 2 wool without food or arrows. :sad.gif:

    Well the bow was crafted in 1.0.0 and the arrows were from 1.8 dispensers...I have 3 stacks of arrows. The bow just won't charge.

    Though all I have left now is lime wool so I may be able to finish without a bow...but still it is a problem.

    I just upgraded to 1.0.0 and for some reason my bow won't fire. It starts the animation for half a second then stops. Any ideas what to do?

    Edit: I just realized I cannot eat either. So this is occurring with anything that requires an extended animation....

    I just tried using a bow in 1.0.0, but it doesn't seem to want to work. Any one else having this problem or know how to fix, even though this probably isn't the right place to post... :unsure.gif:

    Anyone know what triggered that Legendary trap anyways? I saw it and disabled it, but I didn't see any trigger.

    Also I hate bridging out over void in Nightmare Realm...I lost all my torches, iron, wood, bow, etc from the shift key failing me while bridging over void. Now I have to completely resupply myself just so I can get magenta wool, lime wool, and a gold block. :angry.gif:

    I haven't given your maps a try, but I shall make some claims off the LP video you have on your thread. I think one of the reasons Vechs has such popular maps is because Vechs is NICE. For those who haven't noticed, his spawners are almost always in view, or have some indicator about where they are (such as being surrounded by stone). In other words, he prefers to create a challenge with a personal touch rather than a rage fest.

    (For Vechs) I know you want to deny it, but deep down inside you know it is true.
