Death isn't that bad. There are far worse states you could be left in.

It's not about what you eat. It's what you do with it. Of course your going to be a fat ass if you sit behind your computer desk all day at work, drive home and sit in front of your TV for the night. You actually have to get up and do something or else your body doesn't burn anything. Walking briskly at least a kilometer is the bare minimum. Also, try things like keeping the temperature in your house down a degree or two below comfort. Your body will begin burning fat to stay warm. It's not the most pleasant way to lose weight but I've cut 10lbs trying it.

I don't get that statement. We've done pretty good so far existing and interpreting our analog input, creating measurements and making fairly accurate predictions about our universe. If everything were a lie then I don't see how we would function.

I can see human beings be an enigma as every reaction we have is decided through fuzzy logic.

    Kudo's on the engineering design.

Personally I feared Timber Wolves more than Vultures.

Both of you are arguing over points neither of the other made. You both have the same feelings about this topic. That you think it's not worth doing. Please carry on with life.

I myself am going to participate. I've already got a group of Muslims trying to kill me. It won't hurt my odds any. I'm not doing it to be outright malicious. I just like showing people that doing certain things wont crumble the world.

Creative MP should remain free to get people to join up and play the game. There's enough protection as it is with a decent server and a good bunch of OP's and Admins. Survival MP is where you need to cut out the casual asshole by making them pay $20 to annoy people.

Well we know why the brain does things and how it does a lot of things. To me my explanation explains everything quite well. It didn't just suddenly appear and become everything you are. It grew and developed over time. But your right, there's still the possibility everything is not as it really is or works somehow different. But I can't help but think your looking at the question in the hopes of finding something more to it than you know is real. To which I say, keep on looking man. Lemme know if you find something.

Sorry if I got carried away with my science :smile.gif:

But I must and can still say that there is no real proof that it chose me when creating that consciousness. It would all make sense if there were souls, but there's also been no proof against that.

Could you define "it"? We've been trying to say that there is no "it" and there was nothing to choose. If you believe there is a soul and that you are your soul and that a higher power imbued you with that soul, then there is nothing more I can say. I can't convince you there isn't a soul much like I can't convince you that you are what you are.

Just do the auction house thing. Everyone puts up their stacks of things for however much they want for base price and if they just want to outright sell it off at that price. Bidding would set the prices after that.

I know how my brain, molecules and atoms work. I've been educated just like you, thank you very much.
It however still doesn't explain my question. Everyone takes it too literal, sadly enough I've never found a way how to exactly explain or question it correctly..

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply anything... I'll try it this way... You are living the life you do now because your brain is the way it is and there is no other way you could have interpreted the information given to you nor could you have reacted any differently at the time.

It's weird to think about because you question why you did something knowing more than you did when you decided. You made the decision based on what you knew and thought about then. Given the exact set of circumstances and without prior knowledge of what you did, you would do it again. You are a computer responding to input which determines who you are.

It's still a literal explanation of why but it's the only one I can give you that I truly believe in. If you really want I'll make some other things up for ya... uh...

You are what [diety] meant for you to be
You are the result of random chance interactions
You are the sum result of your own morality
