Invent a instant NOT gate that can do 10 operations a second, I've been looking around for one and tried to make one that goes that fast the best I've found was one able to do 5 operations a second made by SethBling
I would like to see the common redstone torch made reliable, so that it always takes 1 redstone tick to change state, its extremely annoying that it doesn't take fixed amount of time that corresponds to the amount of time it takes all other redstone components to change state
I really don't think build-craft is that good a mod, its poorly documented it adds an entirely new concept to the game but doesn't teach the user in any way how to use it...
i agree that the game needs a new delay block because repeaters end up taking up a lot of space if you need a long delay witch you offend need, however i don't believe this punch card block would be the solution i think it would complicate things too much. i think it would be better to add maybe 2 different blocks, where each block would have a fixed delay like 5 seconds and 60 seconds this would make it more transparent than the punch card method i believe, however i don't know how they should look nor be made.
You could set it up so that the user would have to pres a button to arm the selection and then it would keep that track open until a minecart was detected leaving on the selected track
It causes a block update, but that doesn't make it a BUD Switch.
Doesn't it now? I realize that alone doesn't make it a BUD, but isn't grass the same way?
Grass doesn't send a RS signal either, yet it's frequently used in time-based BUDs >_>
But if you put a BUD next to it, it will be the next best thing to a key in an adventure map!
Oh, I had much bigger plans than just adventure maps..
However, yes, that's clever. "When you receive the Ancient Magical Eye from the Doom Temple, place it in the slot to open the gate!"
BUD means "Block Update Detector" but the way you described this was that the block was a BUD witch is wrong.

The BUD switch bug is also incredibly annoying because it makes some things impossible to create
