WOAH! This mod is AMAZING and has GREAT potential. You should make the extended workbench harder to make maybe like you have to find a blueprint for it to work like in the video. Maybe in a stronghold. I can't wait till further updates. Favorited the page!
Has anyone found out the secret dimension yet? I think you should leave us with at least a clue! Is it a portal that gets you there? Item? I have no idea but I've been searching forever (great job hiding it though). I'm so extremely curious, please, just a hint.
STR: Affects melee damage.
DEX: Affects Defense and Crit chance
INT: Affects wand/magic damage and spells, for the moment. For example, Charged Bolt receives another bolt every 5 points.
WIS: 1 pt = 10 mana. Mana regens on a constant percent basis, so it also increases your mana regen rate.
FRT: 1 pt = 10 health.
Each starts at 10, and you receive 5 stat points a level.
Defense is currently not very effective (though Crit is), but all the other stats make noticeable, if not dramatic, improvements. Build your character however you want and tell me how it goes! You'll probably do much better if you focus on 1 or 2 stats, though. Crit is a complicated calculation, but basically has diminishing returns until it caps at 30% crit chance. Everything else straight-line atm.
Though you can't see it (yet), every Area has a level that applies to every mob, dungeon, and item in it (unless I forgot something when updating). The level goes up every 16 chunks of distance you are from (0, 0), and carries with the Area from the time it is initially generated (so if you're 20 chunks-worth from the center but still in the same Area, it'll still be level 1. You have to get to a new Area.)
Let me know if anything else needs expoundin' upon.
I think dexterity should affect bows also cause I like the bows in this mod. Also the bows need to be a bit more balanced. First, they cost ammo and second, they take a long time to charge up (maybe a big damage buff). I think agility should be added back into the game and food should act like forms of healing, I do like no hunger though, keep that. I think whenever you kill a enemy they should have a 30% chance to drop a mana star or a heart or maybe a healing potion. Hope you add these things! Have a nice day!
Great mod! I've been playing it all day long today! What do all the skills do? I can't figure the difference between Wisdom and Intelligence. Needs more mobs though, even though there are already alot.
Hello Nerd-boy! Haven't seen you in a while but anyways when this mod comes out (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/502897-123-hack-slash-mine-alpha-soon) you should really aim to make Battlegear compatible with it. I mean I would love to have a wand in one hand and a Dagger in another! Anyways, great mod! Keep it up
Great job on the mod! It can be balanced alot better though. You should make the books harder to get. Like maybe getting the basic books like athletics books should be a book surronded with feathers and gold nuggets. The herbalism book should be a book surronded by pumpkin, melon, and wheat seeds. The mining book should be a book surronded with iron and gold ingots. They all provide great benifiets so they should be hard to get. Also like the books you make in the future like dark witchcraft books should be found in chests in nether fortesses. Double jump should also be nerfed so every like 4 double jumps a half a thing of a hunger would go down. Also a convert items to XP option. I love games like that. Anyways, great mod keep up the good work!
Thanks soooo much for making this excellent mod! I will even downgrade to 1.2.3 to play it. Its like a completely new game! Also I want to show my support for the mod by using the banner you made, I just don't know the code to put it on my signatures. Mind if you post it for me?
I hate cats. By feeding a furious jungle cat a fish it magically turns into a nice, pretty house cat. That pretty disappointing to me something, also disappointing is how Jeb hasn't add frogs to Minecraft yet. I love frogs (because I am one) and they are so friendly and awesome. Jeb: Don't be a racist, add frogs to the game.
Why make a post without screenshots? Screenshots are extremly easy to do and take like 2 minutes. Soo, you couldn't take 2 minutes out of your day to take pictures of a mod before posting? Are you just extremly impatient or what?
*bad pun incoming* Eggcellent job! Thr models for the birds are great! I like the ducks the best, but don't tell the other birds. You should add a ingame config file so you can configure what you want to have spawn. Seaguls should eat bread when you throw them on the ground or eat all the food in your inventory when you die. And eagles could eat rotten flesh or uncooked meats. That would be really nice if you could do those things. Ostrichs run way too fast, but I like how hard they are to control, I mean its not supposed to be easy to ride a wild ostich.
You should make a pre-release of what you have so far! Sounds exciting and the more people playing the beta, more bugs people find, and the easier it will be to identify and fix them. Is there even a 1.1 compatible version that you can play?
Awesome! Some don't like that their buildings will fall apart but I love the idea! Just like real life you have to keep up and maintenance it. Very time consuming, maybe add reinforced metals you can combine with building blocks to make them last longer. Maybe a machine like a furnace but instead of coal you use metal. Good job!
