HALF PAST MIDNIGHT
(IP will be published later)
Welcome to Half Past Midnight, the server based on xxxtrigger50xxx's massively popular Fallout: Deadstate single player map. We pride ourselves in one of the most unique and dynamic game play experiences. We are currently Alpha testing the server, and have just opened it to the public. We look forward to your thoughts and comments.
Half Past Midnight is a Zombie Survival server set on a huge map that's growing every day. Starting from nothing, you must survive the hordes of zombies, thirst, starvation, and worst of all; other players. Looting our massive cities is an absolute must if you want to play. We have a very diverse combat system; including shotguns, pistols, machetes, bats and so much more. Our loot system is extremely dynamic, causing you to go to logical places for specific items, such as police stations to find caches of guns.
The server is built around the need for teamwork as well, with many buildings being exclusively made for teams to claim as their base. You can also find timber to place on our map to further safeguard yourself, and your goodies, from intruders. While there are many items that help you go solo, a ton of them are catered around the ability to help others on your team. For example, blood bags that you use to heal others.
Every week, we release special themed updates. One plan is the upcoming Pyromaniac update; including fire department loot such as firemen gear that protects you from fire or the fire axe. Once armed with these special tools, you'll be able to traverse new areas in search of awesome flame themed gear such as the flamethrower, flare gun, or even the fire extinguisher to put out fires on fellow players.
Zombies are incredibly dynamic in our server, each spawning with their own custom clothing. As you stay in the same spot for longer times, it will attract more zombies to your location, eventually forming hordes of zombies that you must be clever to escape from! In addition to zombies are also mutants located in their own makeshift towns, neutral until attacked. Soon you will also be able to find farms with animals to breed, or venture into a wolf den at night to retrieve puppies to raise.
Currently, the map is only 1/4 of what we have planned overall. We removed a lot from the Fallout Deadstate map, allowing us to focus much more on the areas we have in currently. As time goes on we will be offering massive expansions to the land mass, from huge ocean sea voyages to forgotten icy lands, to deserts which will make your mouth drier than the pavement.
We also utilize 1.8's new features extensively. From 16 different cars that can appear on the map, to custom weapons and items, we have thought of everything to create a truly revolutionary experience.
It is hard to describe the server in words, but here are some pictures.
We also have our own forums found at halfpastmidnight.boards.net !
A lot of time has been put into our server by a lot of people. Excuse me if I forget anyone.
I want to personally thank all of these people, without any of them, there would be no server.
Finally, thank you to the community, without your love and support, we would have never gotten this far.
~We will be looking for a dedicated player moderator team soon, so prepare to apply.

Time to implement a plugin, I could add this feature in myself within 5 minutes maybe less. But honestly, should we really add something like this in? Will people even use this? We would need more statistics on this before we sacrifice some of our servers ram to constantly run the plugin just like any other plugin. If barely anyone is going to use it then we will not implement the feature. Luckstrong never even listed that as an addition so he either a. thought it was to small to mention or b. never actually added it into the server. I could take the small amount of time to do it, but making sure it's not wasting resources on something no one is going to use is more important. Server performance is always a must. While yes it's only one plugin, if we went off that motive. The server would be crashing every five minutes due to ram issues, I/O failures and CPU stuttering
Thanks for an actual comment, I appreciate messages like these rather then simple childish comments. +1 for ketch.
Tomas is right, you did miss the point. I never added this plugin to FallZ in my time, nor on my own server. In fact, what we were showing off has nothing to do with whatever plugin you showed. If you look really closely it's a custom model. http://i.imgur.com/uFtHyiy.png That's not to say we're not using sleeping bags, but I will not discuss how, only that it is much easier to add content when you're planning for it while building a server from the ground up. No sleeping bag plugins though, like you pointed out, that would be silly. I'm far too clever for that.
Edit: Nice forum reboot, it was time.

The map will be converted to single player map and then released to the public to do with what they wish! I may even just skip the single player conversion and make it downloaded for servers to use to play on! I think it would be awesome to play on multiple versions of FALLZ all with there own variations! xp
About your total contribution fee to FALLZ. (Actually about a 15th of that)
I'm not sure you know how auctions work. You don't begin by mocking the only bidder.

Jul 11, 2011I respect and applaud your opinion, withdrawing any statements I have made on the subject. Sorry for having the courage to express feelings I felt many people had. If you're able to accept the matter of your video being bumped down a bit for a "help wanted poster" then I can too.Posted in: News
Jul 11, 2011That would be fine, but metaphorically speaking this is a Mcdonald's restaurant in comparison to Curse.com. I have nothing against Curse and even have fully supported their actions in the past. I just felt someone needed to state the opinions that many players seem to have towards this.Posted in: News
Jul 11, 2011I see what you mean, and I respect your opinions. My main thought was, for example, if every McDonalds in the world advertised a job position for a job in New York City. It doesn't seem as news worthy as the Minecraft Wiki offering more language support or the release of an image of 1.8 to the community in general. I wouldn't have stated this if the 3 previous posters before me hadn't shown the same general attitude towards it. I will delete my original comment though to prevent further discussion on the matter.Posted in: News
