Here are a few of the bizarre and moderately uncomfortable fan-arts I've made related to Minecraft!

In order from oldest to newest!

MOBTRON! THE HORROR THAT STALKS THE NIGHTS, AND DOES NOT FEAR DAY

NOTCH THE DESTROYER! BANE OF GRIEFERS!

    CREEPER! SSSSSSSSSSSSSS

RANA: PINUP EDITION! COMMISSIONED BY SOMEONE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE

RAMBO NOTCH: COMPLETE WITH GRIZZLY-LIKE CHEST HAIR

ANIMATOR! BELOVED FORMER MODERATOR AND IRC OPERATOR!

    CREEPERS! CREEPERS EVERYWHERE!

IGUANA! ANOTHER, SLIGHTLY LESS BELOVED IRC OPERATOR, AND NOTORIOUS OLDFAG!

SPIDER GODDESS! KNEEL BEFORE HER SILKEN THRONE!

    HEROBRINE! HIM! WHITE EYES!

AND MORE TO COME, WHEN I HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO!

Assuming this doesn't interfere at all, I've made a version of this with the default textures for all the normal blocks, and used the painterly versions for the new things. Some other minor changes: I made flower type 3 purple, and changed the cloth accordingly, Fancy Stone now has the 4 tiled road texture, and Road is now asphalt, Cages were slightly brightened, and the planter pot no longer has the design on it. I made those changes for myself, sorry, you'll have to change them back if you don't like them.

So yeah. Everything as 'default-textured' as can be.

    Download DefaultFancy.zip here

    ON TO PRAISE!

This mod is wonderful. Thank you, thank you, and I hope Notch decides to build off of what you have here.

If I walk into your house and catch you torrenting, are you going to respect me when I tell you to stop?

If you or gilguy have a problem with a post, rather than making an opening for mockery, why not respect the system by instead silently reporting the offending post? It fits all the rules that you love so much, and doesn't make you a joke of a wannabe mod.

The meeting is still running, for anyone who is late, I'll summarize what has been covered.

Of the representative clans, it was agreed unanimously that:

Using operator powers to sway the outcome of warfare is prohibited.
Attacks will be limited to the game: No DDOSing or similar 'attacks' on non-minecraft property.

These rules apply only to wars between members of the council. If you break these rules while fighting a clan that is outside the council, it is none of our business.

After much discussing, it was unanimously agreed that war must be declared prior to an attack. Declaring war has some conditions:

You must declare war on the clan you intend to attack prior to attacking
You can attack at ANY time during a state of war, immediately after or days later. This allows for raiding to remain effective, as you can still surprise the enemy.
You cannot refuse a declaration of war. Once the attacker has declared, he can attack you however he likes. You can only surrender, and hope they accept.
A declaration can be nulled by a 85% vote of the council. That's 10 of 12 member clans.

The council can punish member clans for violating rules. If they are guilty, a trial will be held to decide how much they owe the other clan. If they refuse to follow the sentence, they will be removed from the council, and a vote will be held to declare them an enemy of the council.

Wars declared for sport will be discussed between participating clans. Terms of victory, locations and times of attack, etc, can be decided at their discretion.

Wars of animosity do not need to be discussed, and the only victory is forcing the other side to surrender.

    Both wars must be declared.

I think that's most of it. Hopefully we'll get minutes soon.

The IP for the meeting is [redacted]

I will be online for the duration, approved members will be given OP to help keep out unwelcome visitors. Said visitors will be kicked twice, then banned if they persist.

If you are attending, post in the thread, please, to ease my job of remembering who is who.

We have the host, and he has the map online. However, until Princeps posts the time of the meeting, I'll keep the IP private. Just to prevent any problems prior to the meeting.

I'm expecting Princeps to pick a time right around 8 PM GMT, or 3 PM EST for me. So I wouldn't expect it before or too long after then.

So sorry, I missed the wanna-be moderator tag by your name.

Gilguy, the way things work, you need authority to tell my people what to do. I have authority due to my rank. Moderators have authority due to theirs. You have no authority. If you post in my thread again, telling MY people what to do, then you will only be causing problems for whatever clan you are affiliated with.

In short, don't make worthless posts in my thread, and leave the rule-reminders to the moderation staff. Have a nice day somewhere else.

Well, by temporary and incomplete, I mostly meant the ones that had been left as the original textures: Mossy cobblestone, trunks and metals, etc. The only altered one that I would call incomplete would be the crafting table.

I'll start on some of my ideas today, and PM them to you when they're done, for your consideration :biggrin.gif:

    Heya Heftig.

I'm really liking your texture pack, except for the blocks that are incomplete or temporary. I was wondering if you'd like any help? I've worked on texture packs in the past; my only completed and released one, however, was Apocacraft (Which was functional before indev was phased out, so ancient history). So I'm not inexperienced, though I am generally unmotivated.

I had some ideas for the metal blocks, trees, reeds, and a number of the items. Let me know if you're open to contributions.

This meeting definitely has to happen this Friday. I'll call upon one of the RMM's emergency server hosts so we can have a good meeting in game.

I'd like to discuss possible systems for organized clan warfare, as unorganized clan war is unlikely to ever work. So people should definitely show up! We need a good consensus if we want to lay out the ground rules.

Ignore Dysgalt, he's a party pooper.

Very nice for a first attempt. But I think we can both see there's something wrong with the eyes. Totally salvageable though. I'd start by erasing the one on the right, and just starting over there. My drawing professor, damn him to hell, did manage to impart one important thing to me. If something is wrong, then always erase it. It's not good enough until it's right.

Fellow soldiers! Our time draws nigh! With a certainly buggy, but hopefully playable update coming out tomorrow, it is critical that we all work together to maximize the effectiveness of our training. As it is, no one knows what to expect, no one knows what true Survival Multiplayer will entail. But we will be ready, and we will launch ourselves into this update with the will to conquer it!

Tomorrow, it is critical that you obey all orders from your commanding officers to the letter. All the battalion leaders know the importance of starting combat training immediately. There will be no building except where necessary to train, there will be no freetime. You'll be sparring and shooting and running and jumping, playing wargames and fighting duels, until High Command is confident that you are all capable on the field of battle.

The RMM looks forward to SMP for many reasons, but the foremost is the opportunity to realize our purpose at last. When you are trained and ready, we will leave our private home server, and go forth into the public places of Minecraft to defend the innocent and vanquish villainy where ever it is found. Raiders, bandits, murderers, and griefers, we shall lay low. They will fall beneath the strength and steel of our army. If ever a server is afflicted by such evil-doers, they will be able to call on us for aid, and we will send forth a force skilled enough to save them.

But before all this, you must become soldiers. Tomorrow, the process begins! Report in to the forums, the TeamSpeak, and the Home Server, and we the fires of struggle and against the anvil of combat we shall hammer you into new men!
