If you guys are really impatient here's a mod that may be able to hold you over for a bit
    It's got bending knees.

I installed this mod for 1.5.2 by placing it in the mods folder.

He has a valid reason, the code for loading textures has changed significantly (I tried to update it myself, but couldn't find the skin URL variable, and some methods from RenderPlayer have been entirely removed)

I don't know anything about modding, but this above link does seem to overlap some features of this mod. Maybe it could help... idk. To be honest I'm really bored right now, and am putting off cleaning.

    Amazing mod :D

One thing that kind of bugs me is how the player swims in one-block-deep water..seconding the request for a wading animation.

An idea I had for the eyes..since there's a fair amount of blank space in the skin file, maybe some of the pixels could be read like parameters? The hex codes could determine the dimensions or something.
Edit: scratch that, I'm liking Hoto's idea on the 38th page ^_^

Edit2: Another idea: eyes squint when looking at the sun or the light level raises abruptly.

I agree on the wading thing. Maybe he could just raise his arms up outta the water. It may look derpy, but ppl do it in real life so why not.

Also, maybe he could squint an eye while drawing the arrow.

    Misa, Please look at this:

    [Dinnerbone said this of course]

As an essential step towards the Minecraft modding API, and also for sanity's sake in our own code, we're removing Texture Packs and replacing them with a new Resource Pack system. Ultimately, every mod/plugin will be its own resource pack, vanilla will be a resource pack by itself, and users will be able to apply multiple resource packs at once. Resource packs will be able to change any type of resource, from sounds to fonts, and not just textures. We're also including a new metadata format so that we (and mods/plugins) can easily include whole new types of resources with very minimal difficulty. Unfortunately, this means that all current texture packs will break... We'll be working on another unstitcher-like tool to aid with the conversion, and hopefully this will be the last major breakage to texture/resource packs in the foreseeable future. The new format will allow us to more easily detect out of date packs and possibly even load them as if they were up to date.

    AGAIN!

Nice looking pack. Just downloaded it, but I seem to be having an issue finding the cooled lava texture you have in the second screenshot of the op.

It's pretty B.A. and looks like ctm if I'm not mistaken. Idk, I've been up for a long time so I very well could just be overlooking it.

    Quote from Thistle

It is MUCH better than nothing, but it's still going to be a lot of work. Still, a lot less than it would have been, thank goodness. I got Wolfhound default broken out... I'll need to do the rest and get these staged and ready to go when the update is released for real. Maybe I can work on that Sunday. Tomorrow I'm going out with friends, then on Saturday I'm going to spend working on a painting I need to have done by the end of February, as well as get new glasses. I'm really starting to have trouble - squinting at everything, it feels.

Speaking of awesome downloads... you guys seen this yet Photoshop CS2 - free, legality in question. I use Photoshop to make all my textures, it's a great program.

    :D Thankies

I was referring to the connected textures of Misa's pack. The latest version of Misa's pack relies a lot on the Connected Textures mod, and SEUS lacks bump mapping and parallax mapping support for connected textures, so if you want to use SEUS you'll have to disable these features. Also, as I've said, Misa has issues with Optifine, which SEUS requires to run. Optifine may not support all the pack's features. 'Til SEUS adds support for the CTM, and Optifine issues these problems with Misa's pack, among others, Misa won't be doing official support for SEUS and would recommend against using Optifine.

I hope this clears things up for you. :)

    CTM is now supported

I've personally been working on some ctm shader support for Misa's pack, but I'm slow and lazy and haven't gotten much done.

and if you notice there's even shader support on the hand held items now too.

Don't know if it's something you wanna take a look at, but I was noticing that dirt on the side of grass blocks is sharper looking then the ctm dirt you have. Not really a big deal, but now that I've noticed it I always catch myself looking at it.

So, I was wondering if there was anything you could do on your end about a problem I'm having. There's an issue between CTM, and Bump/specular mapping using Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders. It's incorrectly applying the terrain_s and terrain_nh to anything with ctm support. Here's the result

And since more texture packs are starting to take advantage of ctm it would be neat if we could get them to work together. I tried just adding extra _s and _nh .pngs to go along with the ctm files, but it didn't work.
Here's another shot of ctm being applied to stone textures with bump/specular mapping enabled.
