Hello everyone! My name is Caelan(Kay-lin), I'm a guy from the eastern US. I'm looking for a server where I can just relax and play around a bit. I'm not an amazing builder but I don't suck either. I haven't played in a while, about 6 months. I'm just sort of looking for a way to pass time and minecraft crossed my head. I can't exactly say how often I'll be on the server, I'd say at least 1-3 hours a day though, but I will probably play a lot more than that on certain days where I have extra time.
A few things that I really want in the server:
No/very few plug-ins/mods
Close nit community
A large percentage of the player base communicates via skype/other form of voice
Not extremely overpopulated, I don't want to be part of 100+ player server, ideally the server would have a constant 5-15 people online and not much/any more than that.

Why do you want to be staff? Main reason I want to be staff is because rather than playing a game I more so just enjoy being part of a community and watching it run fluidly, I know this may seem strange but it's a a passion I have.

Picture of one of your builds(Can be done over Skype , Link or Video): Actually just had my hardrive crash on me, I'll make something in the next 24 hours and then send it over skype, consider this application on "hold" I suppose until I send the goodies, I sort of just wanted to make sure I don't lose the thread. Link to a build I made last night in a bit of a hurry, however I turned out somewhat happy with it.
Timezone: EST (-5, I believe)
Favorite Building Block: Sandstone or Stone half slabs. These blocks are some of my favorites because of there lighter tone, I love the contrast they provide with the majority of blocks in the game and find them very easy to transition into any build, whether it be pre-existing, or just me adding an addition.
Favorite Biome to Build in: Forest or Desert. I love forests due to the brighter green grass color, it seems very warm and I feel looks great with natural elements(tree's, rivers, grassy hills, ect.) I'm also fond of them due to relatively flat land which makes it easier to build on in my opinion while still providing terrain to build with. I'm also a huge fan of deserts, this is because I like the idea of building ruins and deserted metropolises, and lot's of people enjoy building these in rain forests, however I see it more fitting with a desert, it seems the perfect place for civilizations to crash and burn(hehe).
Strengths: Long term project's, And gimmick builds. When I say long term projects I'm not really referring to things like a giant castle that spans 400 blocks, I'm more so interested in making a city based off a giant cave system I found that seems to expand forever, or creating that metropolis in a desert as stated above. When i say gimmick builds I mostly mean things that serve little to know realistic purpose other than to interest me or look cool, for example when pistons were first released in my single player worlds I made a clock that counted up to 60 and then reset to zero, it served no purpose(except create large amounts of lag), but it was still something i thoroughly enjoyed.
Weakness's: I always seem to run out of food, even long term, I hate making food farms. I feel this is pretty straight forward and requires no true explanation, I don't like killing animals anymore since they don't re-spawn, I always try to say "alright tomorrow I'll build a pig farm just so I can have food" but then I get side tracked and make some stupid little house that I didn't need, I guess farms just don't really interest me.
Part 2: Learning You Minecraft Skills
On a scale from 1-10 what do you rate your self in the following.
Building: 8/10 (I like what I make, but then again a lot of people like what they make) I feel I am proficient in trying to incorporate many types of blocks into my build to try and prevent very generic looking structures, however I do seem to lack in interior design, but I find a lot of people are weak in this field so that helps me to feel a bit better about my skills.
Fighting Mobs: 7/10 (I'm satisfactory, not proficient) I seem to do fine with mobs on SSP but for some reason I usually have the perfect amount of lag so that a mob will completely wreck me, of course this very from server to server, but this is my general consensus.
Farming: 1/10 (assuming this is making farms for food, as stated above. I starve quite often) I guess I just don't know enough techniques for making farms, maybe i should try to look some up at some point, but I always seem to find mine to be very bland, whether its a strip of wheat in a field behind a fence, or a two deep hole for pigs it just seems very boring for me.
Redstone: 10/10 (I actually have a lot of real world experience with integrated circuits and logic in general, applying this to minecraft can be difficult from time to time, but I find it truly enjoyable.) Like I said I have quite a bit of experience with I/O logic so I find redstone to be fun and intuitive, I know how to apply gates to solve problems, using gates, my one true weakness to logic in the real world is I hate having to work resistance, but guess what? Minecraft gods decided resistance doesn't exist there, so I love it.
Pranking: 8/10 (I'm relatively creative) I love the idea of pranking, I like being able to put a lot of thought into a devious plan as long as it provides a chuckle for everybody(and maybe a little bit of rage). However I would never want to take it the extreme where it is frowned upon or considered dangerous, I think it is meant to be a fun way for a community to truly interact with one another.
PS: Hope you don't mind I added extra info, I felt 1-10 just didnt explain it thoroughly enough.

Who is your Favorite Minecraft Youtuber: I'm a fan of the B-team personally. I love the cooky attitude they have and the inside jokes that transfer between series. I'm a fan of there (goofy)rebellious attitude they have towards other people, they never are directly hurting anything but the sarcasm involved I find to be hilarious.(I'm mainly referring to there underground mafia/gambling thing they had going on around October right here)
What makes you better then an average Minecrafter I'm dedicated and relatively well self motivated, which helps me in pursuing long term goals. I also seem to have an eye where a build will bother me if its not perfect in my eyes, I will work on something on and off until it finally seems to fit with the surrounding, If I don't like the way a roof fits I'm more than happy to tear down the whole building so that I'm not thinking about it constantly.
If you were baxter1932 why would you choose your self I'm a great guy to get know, I'm a bit full of myself at times, I'm also relatively knowledgeable in many fields and always willing to lend a hand. I also have a pretty decent amount of time I can use to help the server grow, I'm a senior in high school taking a few college classes but besides that a lot of my time is free. I also love talking to people and trying to be involved in different communities, I also like to work with others on collaborations, I'm very much a team player.
Oh no! Someone pranked you. What do you do Clean it up, then take some oh so sweet revenge. I'm not sure how to elaborate on this truly but I don't mind rambling on a bit in an attempt to help you get into what would be going through my mind. First I would want to make sure the prank is dealt with so that I could get it out of my head, and start thinking of advancements I could make towards pranking them back. Then I would of course spend a few days planning it out and trying to stalk them, so I can try to learn there schedule as to be sure I am not interrupted. Then I would try and trike fast and hard, devastating them In whatever way I've concocted, I hope this helps to elaborate my brain.
Do you know how to work a nether hub: Not sure on the exact numbers off the top of my head, but I've used one before and set up my own portal, I can look the numbers up on the wiki. I've read up and studied on this, I think I am ready to go.
How many Blocks From Spawn Town are you Supposed to go 1500, However I'll probably go farther, i do enjoy me some exploration. I'm guessing this is just to make sure I read the rules, not sure how I could describe this better,

I realize a lot of what I typed here is very general, so I'm going to try and get more specific. As I stated above I am a high school senior; I thoroughly enjoy video games and have so all ym life. My favorite games growing up where Pokemon (surely still in my top 10). Of course as I grew up though I did start enjoy more gruesome games. One of my favorite shooters of all times is gears of war(the original one on x-box was just great). I'm also a huge fan of sandbox and indie games, I also like mmo's but haven't been able to find one lately that truly peaks my interest. This is just a bit of my gaming background there is plenty more in this field as well as others for you to learn about me. However I feel like I'm creating a wall of text at this point.
