Moneybookers is obviously the source of a lot of grief for people who want to buy Minecraft. Personally, I've "bought" three copies of Minecraft only to have the amount credited back to my bank account using a debit card (with VISA, of course).
Yes, I've already got a premium account.
Yes, I want to buy a gift card for a friend of mine.
No, I can't do it with a VISA card (attached to a debit card).
I also can't do it with a prepaid VISA card (having tried that as well), nor can I use Paypal (since I don't have an active account with them any longer).
So, if the topics are to be believed, we can't use Paypal, we can't use American Express, we can't use VISA, we can't use Mastercard... Are we supposed to just mail paper money to Mojang now in order to be able to get a copy of the game?
But yes, it's annoying to get to the end and then not get a "happily ever after" ending.
This isn't what I was saying earlier, but this also irks me. I hate reading a 500 page book, only to end it right where it started, no progress, and no happiness for those inside, although it's still good writing, and it properly conveys it's point.
That'd be a "riding off into the sunset" ending - where the protagonists have made a difference, done something and made progress. Sequels optional.
As a writer, I can see why they do it, but from your perspective (and mine), I can also agree completely and wish they'd knock that **** off and FINISH YOUR GOD DAMN STORY.
I'm writing a series now (self-publishing as I go, retaining the rights so I can go to a publisher later). It's got a beginning, a middle and an end. There's no loose ends to the main story that won't be resolved, and you find out what happens to the good guys, the bad guys, the folks playing the middle ground and everybody else.
Now, for prequels, I can understand giving a little wiggle room - there's a whole lot of stuff that happened in between Star Wars Episodes 3 and 4 (the entirety of the Clone Wars) that is partially covered, but it does leave a lot unanswered. Why? Because they can still milk the cash cow and come out with more novels and sequels and prequels and explain what happens "off the camera" everywhere else.
But yes, it's annoying to get to the end and then not get a "happily ever after" ending, or at least a "ride off into the sunset" finish (to allow for possible sequels).
That sort of thing doesn't count. Anything more than the ears and the tail is furry.
Translation: Do as I say, not as I do.
That's "neko" more than furry.
As for who I hate... Pretty much everyone except for people who aren't idiots (although everyone's guilty of bouts of momentary stupidity). I can justify individual groups I hate or don't hate, but why bother?

3) People don't want to bust in and start interrupting. Not everyone has a double-digit IQ.
I don't know how to interpret that...
Meant as something like...
A: HAVE YOU SEEN THIS ANIME MOVIE?
B: Yes, I loved it!
A: What about that part when...
B: That was awesome, and the part when...
C: *hasn't seen it, likes other animes, topic title is a broad subject*
C, in the example above, may not want to seem like an assclown and break in and "derail" a topic.
What do you think that the saddest movie ever is?
I think it is "Hachi" a movie about a dog whose owner dies and he goes to the train station everyday for like 10 years waiting for his master to come back
i cried, a lot
anyway, what do you think the saddest movie ever is?
The only movie I ever cried during/at the end of was E.T. - I saw it in the theaters when I was three and cried 'cause I didn't want E.T. to die, but I didn't want him to go home.
The duplicate threads are being started because...
1) lol trolls.
2) The already in-progress conversations are already in progress.

It's cute that everyone thinks this thread was about me. I've posted in the introduction thread.
This is for the people who are (obviously) too shy that aren't posting threads like this, or in the introduction thread, or anywhere else that seems elitist.
I don't remember what the hell was going on in the introduction thread, but I think I got all of two, maybe three replies, and I'd count myself among the lucky ones. I'm pretty sure there's a lot more who got a lot less (that is to say, nothing at all).
Everyone else is fine introducing themselves in the introduction thread. It's not that they somehow find a large number of posts daunting- they just don't see it. There is no reason to have 5 of the same thread.
If they don't see it, they're idiots. Some people are shy and don't want to jump into a 33 page, 978 replies topic because they're going to get ignored. Want proof? I bet within 33 pages, I can find quite a few.

College wasn't bad, but I can only guess this thread's about high school (or junior high, which I hated because I was the social pariah).

Anyway - grab Cartograph and make a map.

In after rage over him not working. . . ...?
Coding will continue - whether or not they release something is another story entirely. :biggrin.gif:
THIS THREAD NEEDS MOAR RAEG NAO. EVREYONE HIT CAPSLOCK. IS CRUISE CONTROL 4 RAEG.

And why is that block hissing?
I would cry. Then laugh. Then probably cry some more. I may have it reversed.

So, if I go through the introduction thread, I won't find a conversation that may have, at some point, made people feel alienated? You sure of that?
