    In my opinion if someone takes the time to get enough diamonds and experience to make the armor legitimately, their reward should be some pretty extraordinary armor. Yeah, it may be a little overpowered, but they spent time to get it because that's what they wanted. If it wasn't all that much better than normal diamond armor there wouldn't be a point to enchant it at all.

    I'm having the same problem. I've been playing on my newly created 1.8 world for hours and I've only seen one cow, hundreds of sheep, zero pigs, and zero chickens.
