    Simple. Just disable the anti-aliasing. And try to enable them in game with the Super Secret Settings

    You have no idea how much of a downer it is to have a GTX680 but be forced to use the softwares rendering... and if I could actually use those super secret settings instead of cows mooing/ glass smashing/ etc etc... then maybe, but I just tried switching to those settings and it did not work. So basically minecraft is kinda borked right now, lets hope 1.7.3 fixes this issue because a real solution to this would be great.

    posted a message on 1.7.2 Broke Nvidia antialiasing, white lines all over!
    So I have put minecraft down for awhile while waiting for the update, I come back load up 1.7.2 and I find that the edges of blocks all have white lines around them. Though I have a GTX680 and the proper aliasing settings, 8X AA and 8X Super Sampling, the white lines persist, and yes I have proper global and override settings, same result. Current R331 drivers for my GTX680.

    Anyone else with high end graphics cards experiencing the same issue with 1.7.2, or has anyone come up with a way to fix it yet? Preferably I'd like to solve the issue without disabling my fancy pants graphics cards capabilities that is.

    The last time I was around was the 1.6.4 update and I did not have the issue then. Reading around a little, the word seems to be the updated rendering code is doing something wonky in regard to aliasing.

    Would be a great little nod to quest for glory if it could be done in minecraft.

    I would prefer that they fixed the villages generation instead.

    It is a rare event indeed when I happen upon a village that doesn't require a massive overhaul just to make the place seem like it wasn't recently hit with an earth quake.

    posted a message on Trapdoor Open / Close windows
    Ever since trap doors were introduced I had always wanted to turn them into little open / close windows. I puzzled over how it could be done but before 1/2 slabs were made to be placed at variable heights this was not possible! So thanks for the update on this because...

    I recently discovered how to make open close windows using trap doors and 1/2 slabs. They are super awesome because this is a relatively simple method you can now use to view the outside world through your cool windows and then open them up to go bunker style combat with your adversaries! You can create them to have either an "Awning" (1/2 slab at the top) or "Sill" (1/2 slab at the bottom) option, Stylish and functiona! WoW!

    But how do you do it?

    Quit simple, just do as this cross section does!

    ---
    :stair: = Option block, Place a 1/2 slab (of any type) on either the top or the bottom side.
    :Frame: = Trap door, This is where you will place your trap door window.
    :Logs^: = Building block, Whatever material you were building with.
    :: = Whatever block, what is on this block doesn't matter, but usually it's air.
    ---

    ---
    Single block height windows
    ---

    :: :Logs^:
    :stair: :Frame:
    :: :Logs^:

    You can place the 1/2 slab at either the bottom or the top of the option block depending on your choice.

    *Note*
    If you make the "Awning" style, you might have to sink a 1/2 slab block down in front of the window (or possibly the whole floor) to view out of it, otherwise the 1/2 slab kind of gets in the way of looking out, though it makes for great viewing when you do have a properly aligned floor. It makes an especially nice touch for "bunker" type placements.

    ---
    Double block height windows
    ---

    :: :Logs^:
    :stair: :Frame:
    :stair: :Frame:
    :: :Logs^:

    This works also, if you place your 1/2 slab at the bottom side of the bottom window and then the other 1/2 slab at the top side of the top window.

    ---

    So let me know what you think, because i for one thought myself one sneaky little monkey for this is a really clever little touch, that up until the change to 1/2 slabs, was not possible.

    Thanks for reading!

    Yeah, i mean, I want a GREEN racing stripe, not brown.

    Could it be that your favorite color is green? If so, excellent, brother under the shade.Don't forget, their needs to be some way to differentiate all the different armors from a distance.

    I kinda think it looks... decent.

    I would make the pauldrons brown so that piece can be distinguished, and the lower layers of the leather boots brown also.

    So... If I traded diamonds to get those emeralds using the other trade, this chestplate would cost 80 diamonds. *facepalm.

    I don't think using XP to rename items sounds very logical but it seems the most likely thing at the moment.

    Think of it like this.

    Only after being with you for some time and being of much use and great value to you does an item earn status.

    This would be for that heavy moment where you were down to 1/2 a heart with no armor and you sliced up the 5 incoming mobs taking no damage like a samurai... and as you stand, blood and sweat dripping from your body, mind reeling from the intensity... you glance down at your diamond sword, the only thing that kept you from being zombie and spider chow... then you decide to start calling it, Gleam Drip... and an epic item is born.
