You know, I've been wondering about that recently as well because I could use that feature for one of my new features I am adding. I hadn't even thought to look at the minecarts. I just pulled up the code to the minecarts and I think I see how to do it, how to make entities sit. I'll have to do some testing and see if I can get this to work like I want. I may add this for the next release if I can get it to work like I want. ;)

Wow, thanks! My little sister was making a schoolhouse setting with your mod, and was wondering if there was a way to get the villagers to sit down on the seats.

Ok, so villagers and other entities can ride minecarts, right? I was wondering if it was possible for them to sit on seats, because i have never been able to get them to do this.

You might want to look at JourneyMap. You can either display the map in-game or on a browser (while the game is running). This could be put on an external monitor.

sounds somewhat like somnia? except for the potion Effects and milk/coffee thing. idk. ill look into it

Oh, yeah, that's the name of that mod. Yeah, the world will be simulated like in that, but the mod isn't just that. My idea is to make sleep in Minecraft act like the real-world version.

I have an idea for a mod that, as the title suggests, will overhaul sleep.

    Current ideas:

The mod will simulate the world as you sleep, hopefully without breaking other mods. (The Sleep Voting mod will probably not work.)

If you stay awake for too long, then a potion effect will apply called "Tired". It will make you move more slowly, and maybe with a slow blinking effect over the game camera.

After a certain amount of time with the tired effect, you will simply fall asleep right then and there. The world will be simulated, and your sleep meter will refill until daytime.

However, you cannot sleep when the light level is above ten. Your sleep meter will continue to drop, and eventually you will start hallucinating.

Coffee will stave off the tired effect, but eventually hallucination will set in. (Maybe ic2 coffee will work as well.)

Milk will be changed (maybe without breaking compatibility with MFR) so that it clears all potion effects, except the tired effect. It will additionally add to your tired meter, but only if your hunger is full enough to heal you. This is to simulate an "I'm full and i'm tired now" effect, without making you fall asleep during a wither fight.

I am looking for coders (i have no experience with java). Ideas are appreciated as well.
