    Hey LordBlackHole, found another bug.

    Turns out, some of the villagers from brewcraft (red and blue ones) have a strange "glitch" where they offer something for one emerald (say, 5 glass vials) except, when i make the trade, they don't consume the emerald...I think the emerald's count in the villager trade options was set to 0 by mistake, allowing me to get infinite glass vials, charred bones, and magma cream

    *face palm* It looks like the way Eno set up the random numbers on those trade recipes it is possible for the cost to be zero. *sigh* Nice catch. Any more bugs you can find before I post the next hotfix?

    The configs are located in /config/Redgear

    There is a geocraft.cfg for major configs and also a geocraft directory with .json files for every mine type.

    Oh yea. THAT has been fixed. Not sure when, but I for sure remember fixing it. Probably right after answering your post. Again, I got very distracted with irl stuff and just dropped everything right where it was without intending to.

    Good to see this mod is still being updated. Were there any changes with the bottles being consumed, toggles for new mob drops, or NEI support? I remember those where things mentioned a while back that I have been waiting for.

    It's not that it's still being updated, as much as it is that it's being updated again. I was too busy with real life stuff for nearly a year but now I have some time to work on it a bit.

    If you're referring to the bottles vanishing when you empty them into the Brewery, then the news is that that is a feature. It's just using the Forge standard for these things. Bottles are by default a one-time-use item. The Brewery is intended to be automated, you really shouldn't be passing potions around between them in bottles. Never the less, the Botter and Unbotter machines are coded in. But they have no textures as I can't get anyone to draw textures for them despite several people saying they would. So they have no recipes and are effectively locked out for now. I'm hoping to get them into the game in a smaller release soon. I really wanted to get this fix to the fluid out quickly.

    The drop rates are configurable. Where they not in the last release? If so then I forgot about that. That must have been in the code before I stopped working on it last year.

    NEI support is still on the back burner. Don't count on that one.

    1.3.1:

    Fixes for changes in Forge. (AKA, those Fluid changes that were causing so many crashes).

    Fixes for Brewery rotation.

    Sprayer is now also rotatable, and it's spray pattern has been cleaned up considerably. Before it would effect anything within a three block radius, now it will shoot out for five blocks in the direction it's pointing, with a three block wide spray.

    2.4.5:

    Added enhanced compatibility with Underground Biomes, putting Geocraft ore overlays over Underground Biomes stone if it's installed.

    Added extra support for AE2 by hand coding new default values for Certus Quartz, instead of allowing the inappropriate generated defaults.

    Also tweaked the rarities of some of the mines, including gold, diamond, copper and tin.

    Oh yes. I had a really hard time just making one thing without creating a whole backend for it. In THEORY that should have made things easier, and sometimes it does, but all too often it means that I have to make changes to Core every single time I need to add a new feature I hadn't thought about before.

    Quote from JAM_BOX»
    ... Oh don't know what the last version you used was, but the delayed generation is genius, virtually no lag. ...

    Thanks! It was not easy. And in fact, I have some ideas on how to make it even better by putting the mine generation into a separate thread that feeds back into a data structure that will just place a limited number of blocks each world tick.

    Yo JAM_BOX, send me a PM and we can collaborate ok? I've now got a year's worth of real life programming on the job experience to help make things easier to understand.

    To everyone else: The mod will be coming back soon. I'm working on patching up Brewcraft first, as that is my most popular mod, but this one will be next. Thermal Expansion and AE are my top priorities for fixing compatibility.

    I was hoping to use this mod for just the ore generation and disable all the new stuff, but the config changes don't seem to have any effect. This is my config file:

    # Configuration file

    B:GenerateNewStoneTypes=true
    B:debugMode=false
    }

    genmode {
    # Known ores will get their complex mine types. Overrides CylinderMode for the ores it effects.
    B:complexMines=true

    # Known ores will get their complex block and item types activated. False will use vanilla blocks.

    # Forces all unknown ores to spawn in Cylinder shaped mines. If false unknonwn ores will be generated like vanilla only ignoring height.
    B:cylinderMode=true

    # Generates trace veins for cylinder mines and complex ores that allow it. Only applies to these if those mode are active.
    B:genTrace=true

    # Uses a new spidery vein type for iron, copper, tin, lead and silver. Only valid if complexMines is turned on.
    B:spiderMetals=true

    # Uses a new spidery vein type for cyliderMode veins.
    B:spiderVeins=false
    }

    }

    }

    B:MinecraftOnePointEight=false
    B:NetherOres=true
    B:TSteelworks=true
    B:Thaumcraft=true
    }

    I disabled the new stone types, complex ores, and 1.8 stones. I'm using the ATG world type. Could that be the problem?

    Also, don't forget to oredict with the stones from Artifice.
    Did you delete the old configs and let them regen? Those values only effect new ores, the individual configs can override them. Although I've been meaning to change that since it's not obvious.

    Edit: I got it working by downloading ForgeMultipart. Not sure why that did the trick but it did.
    That is definitely a problem with the Forge Micropart compatibility, but what bothers me is that it shouldn't be crashing, it should just disable the multipart features. I'll have to look into that.

    From what I'm reading, it seems like it is looking for a class in a folder named CodeChicken, but I'm not sure where it is.

    You say you're updating from 2.2.1, from the OP, I think that it is written you don't have to install RedGear anymore, perhaps you have to uninstall it before? I could be wrong though.

    First of all, the OP is old. Don't trust it. Second of all, you DO need Core, it's just that Geocraft will download it automatically, and it will remove old versions by itself as well.

    I'm using GregTech and IC2.

    Do they have block forms? Looking at the code it uses the block forms of the materials, so if there is no "blockTungsten" or "blockRubber" then it won't work.

    Hey, I have a few more questions about the mod. First, I did test the potion/bottle thing again today. I found some potions, the boosted vanilla ones I think, do leave a bottle behind. But instead of leaving it in spot where you drank it will stack with others (vanilla always leaves in potion's spot I think). However, I didn't seem to get any bottles back from the new potions (e.g. haste) or any of the larger size ones.

    I also wanted to ask about the mob drops. Is there a list of what mod drops which brewing ingredients? And think there could be possibly be toggles for the drops, or even an option to alter the drop rates? Personally, I am finding some of the ingredients rather often, especially from certain mobs, and with other mod added loot it just feels like a bit too much per kill (especially considering how spawners/grinders can work in the pack). I would like to remove the drops and add again at a rarer rate using Mob Properties, but I need to know what drops what first.

    And lastly, I wanted to double check with permissions. The other day I was looking over the FTB Mod Pack permission list and it lists Brewcraft as Notify and Red Gear Core as Request. Just wanted to make sure I am understanding the permissions correctly and that I get all the necessary permissions for the mod pack I am working on.

    Yea there is a bug in the bottle returning. I've already found and fixed it, it will be released soon, I'm just waiting on some textures for some ..... new stuff!

    Good point. An NEI plugin has been something we've wanted for a long time, maybe I'll check it out today. Making the drops configurable would be simple enough, I can go ahead and add that too.

    Yes we haven't listed the permissions very clearly, but all Red Gear mods are fine for modpacks.

    Oh my. I just realized that the download link is pointing to 1.2.2, which is NOT the latest, 1.2.3 is. Since I didn't create the thread I can't fix that. Open the "View all dowloads" button and get the latest, THAT one has recipes.

    Thanks for clearing that up. Also, before you said that glass bottles are considered consumable by minecraft and mods. But when I was testing today I noticed that when you drink a vanilla potion, it does leave an empty bottle behind. But when you drink a brewcraft potion it doesn’t. Personally I am more bothered by the lack of consistency between potions then of the bottle loss from brewcraft potions. Anyway, think you would consider a config option to change the bottle behavior with this mod (e.g. toggle consumed or not consumed)?

    What? Now THAT is a bug! I'll fix that right away.

    Hey, I wanted to ask if there is any mod pack policy for this mod. I haven't seen any mention to it or licenses, but it is possible I missed it somewhere.

    It's not listed, but mod packs are totally fine. Have fun.
