Go play in notepad, then.
I play notepad in my spare time. (spent months designing a text-based game)
Anyway, I agree with the OP. I miss the days when the only prebuilt thing you might find was a dungeon. I have agreed with all of the updates until the adventure update hit. Since then I feel Minecraft is losing its appeal. When I started playing Minecraft, I enjoyed the simplicity of it. You gather the materials to build. Once you get those materials you build your structure. If you want to fight monsters, just go outside at night, or go to the Nether. No need to NPC Villages. No need for Strongholds. No need for leveling up or enchanting items. This is Minecraft, not an RPG!

What part doesn't make sense?
By not giving mojang money and making the pirating sites more popular it slows down the the development of the game. (If he has pirated)
If a pirate had not pirated the game then mojang would of got the money that they deserved and should of earned which means the game can develop better, however if a pirate does pirate the game while they can buy it development goes slower than it should do and they are just taking advantage of the fact that we paid so it is still developing at all.
He may have bought the game, so everyone just calm down. When you play in offline mode (or at least when I do) I get that message on the screen. I paid good money for the game, but when I'm offline I get the same message.
Aug 9, 2011I was looking at my hillside which is fenced in, and was thinking how terrible it looks at night with tons of torches all over it. What if there was a craftable block which would keep monsters from spawning within a radius around it?Posted in: Suggestions
It should definitely be difficult to craft of on these blocks, and perhaps once it is placed it cannot be picked up without being destroyed. This would keep people from bringing one with them when exploring caves.
If a few of these blocks were placed underground, it would permit making areas where it is safe to be out at night (Without torches), and it would make it easier to create a safe spawn area in SMP.
Possible crafting recipe:

Gets in the way when mining.
Arrows are obtainable by killing skeletons.
Sand is more abundant and can be used for filling in lava lakes and anything else where gravity is desired.
Gravel looks terrible.
