posted a message on Topic; [1.6.4] [Forge] Endless City v1.0
So this mod is awesome (especially for your first), but there's a few things I'd like to ask for:
    1. A config file for loot. I'd like to add my Flan's Mod guns to the randomly generated chests, it'd add more of a post-apocalypse feel.
    2. More skyscrapers. The taller buildings add a city-like feel; the smaller ones make it look more suburban.
    3. A way to ditch the diamond stacks. They look nice, but once you get ahold of iron tools (somehow, I did it with the DungeonCrawler Mod's salvaging recipes) you've got diamonds for life.

posted a message on The Elements Mod [1.7.10][1.8][FORGE]
This desperately needs rebalancing. To put it bluntly, the Elements are far more powerful and far more rare; what I would do is generate structures (let's say, Temples of Harmony), one per element, which contain the respective element. Each one, naturally, would grant massive buffs to its user. The buff also applies to anyone nearby who's wearing an Element.
As for the tools, it's great practice to create a new ore and make tools with it, but they just don't fit here. I like that you set the tool's buffs to become debuffs while wearing the Alicorn Amulet, but they just don't fit. It'd be like allowing the player to craft extra tools out of Thor's Hammer.

I would genuinely like to have the ability to create blueprints outside of creative mode.
In fact, a feature I'd love to have is the ability to create blueprints within the planning table.
I'm thinking, you pay a certain amount of ink to get a certain grid size (maybe 1 ink sac per block diameter, so a 10x10 would cost 10 ink sacs). Then, it opens an interface, where you can click ghost blocks into grid slots to put together the layers. There'd be buttons for moving between layers, of course.
Once you're done, click the finish button. It'll pop up a naming dialogue and make the blueprint uneditable, similar to the sign button on a book. Then, you can build away with your builder's block!

Speaking of, the builder's block seems overpriced. Then again, it *is* easy, fancy buildings.

posted a message on [1.6.4][FORGE] Age Of Advancement Mod! (New Ores, Tools, Weapons, Upgrading System, And More!)
    Some criticisms:
    1. This mod may be your first, but it doesn't really add much beyond what many other mods add.
    2. The unique features this mod does have (the ice tool tier and the flint and stick) aren't explained well.
    3. No images for recipes? While you do explain the recipes, having screencaps of the recipes is a sort of unwritten standard for mods.
You should probably add more explanation of the ice tools (Are they just mid-tier between copper and stone? Do they turn water to ice when used? Do they act like iron but lose durability over time?) as well as the flint and stick (Cheaper firestarter? Sharpening tool?).

    Quote from Malloon

You made a good start, but you also made quite a lot of mistakes, unfortunately.

Tran could work for "name", as of now, but "name" isn't a verb, it's a noun. So you can't say nitranin.

We don't have grammar to create a "that" sentence yet.

ORsik doesn't work for "guard" because it can only be applied to nouns. ORfEsik could work, but it is a bit undescriptive: "Friendly cutter" could be a guard, or a soldier or a warrior in general who is on your side (oR is meant to be applied to existing nouns, not to create new ones; it is a kind of inflective).

FE-ani means "gold as a person" or "golden person", to create "people of gold" you would say tratranof mam-ani: "people of/defined by gold".

    Thanks for the assistance.
...On second thought, perhaps I'm not the guy to be translating this. But hey, now we know we still need the word for "that".

posted a message on Cake of the Gods: The Recipe for Disaster (Updated 10 December 13)
I like the idea of an item that depends on a lot of expensive stuff, can only really be made by one faction, and gives a fairly big bonus.

After all, how else are we gonna get the epic story where all the other factions team up to take on the biggest one? How else will everything change when the Fire Nation attacks, if not by letting the Fire Nation get an advantage in the first place?

I also agree that this should rely on the Dragon Egg. The complaint with this is that it only rewards the first guy to kill the Dragon. That's the point. The entire point of this suggestion is to reward the player who is able to gain enough power to kill the Dragon before anyone else can.

As for the complaint that getting on a server after the Ender Dragon has been killed leaves you at a disadvantage: That happens anyway. In fact, many servers end up giving players full iron or even full diamond armor, because there's just so much of a disadvantage for new players. It doesn't really help, since all the guys who've been on forever end up just kicking the noobs to pieces with their Protection IV boots and laughing as they run over and over into their Knockback II Fire Aspect II swords, and the armor ends up being new loot for the old guys, but still. If you're complaining about there being a disadvantage for new players, go make a new server or ask the admins to reset the old one.

And right off the bat, I can't seem to find a word for "in". Perhaps something based on "mit" (middle)? I'll go with "mi". Hurr durp, forgot that in is a prefix.
As for "name"...I figure that maybe "tranof" would have stemmed from (or led to) a word for "name", because monsters don't really have names. However, villagers (and the visitor) do have names. I'll go with tran, and by extension nitranin would mean "no name"...

"In a realm that remains unnamed,"
    nansishtok nitranin,

Now I need a word for "guarded". Perhaps a combination of "eksarko" and "sik", because guards would cut monsters. Or maybe "oRsik", "friendly cut", for guard. In fact, "En-Luki" seems out of place here. Time to give them a new name. "fE-ani", "people of gold" seems like a better one. They do spend a lot of time handling gold, after all.

    "Guarded by the En-Lukis"

I think I shall try and translate some of the lore from the lore thread.
I'll post about words I'm missing as I find them. I'll be using TheMagicTwix's lore, since that's the one I like the most out of all of them.

posted a message on Let's Talk About Strongholds
I personally think that ravines and mineshafts should generate in the same area as strongholds. It makes sense that an earthquake would split the stronghold after it was abandoned, and it also makes sense that a mineshaft would be dug near or even from a stronghold. Ordinary caves, on the other hand, make no sense.

I do want the idea. This is just hampered by bad execution on the author's part.
What I'd absolutely love, though, is randomly varied textures. I'm thinking that there should be a few different "parts" for each ore, and that these parts should be arranged on top of the stone texture based on the world seed.

Of course, this will screw with textures that use symmetry in their ore textures. But perhaps it could be something that can be turned on and off, maybe within the resource pack.

posted a message on (Updated: 8/17/13) Using the Dragon Egg to Create a View [with concept art]
This idea is interesting. To be honest, it seems a little expensive, even if there's logic behind the use of the eyes of ender and the nether star.
I would suggest using one eye of ender, as a focus for the nether star beam, instead of four to analyze the ender dragon's spell.
As for what this idea actually does: On the one hand, adding a weird sky and a few new blocks is kind of a let-down for the expensiveness of this recipe. BUT! What this idea does add is a bit of poetic justice. When you kill the Ender Dragon, you get a fancy poem. But that's about it. There's not really a change to the world that comes from killing off the Ender Dragon, and not changing the world is something that doesn't really suit Minecraft. However, changing the End's sky and causing stars to fall across the landscape will add a better sense of accomplishment. When you've killed the Ender Dragon in a SMP server, and kill the Wither, and assemble the Egg Beacon (in before Dr. Eggman), and stars start falling across Minecraftia, your fellow players will look at all the stars falling from the sky and know that someone has beaten every boss in the game.

On the one hand, 6 is objectively easier to use (though I'm not exactly sure how the logic on that runs; I'm less of an expert on math than I am on languages).
On the other hand, 8 fits neatly into the number of items in a stack, which would mean that villagers would have a word for "one stack", "half a stack", etc. This, in turn, would fit neatly into the player's vocabulary. The player's fairly likely to be less confused by base-8 than by base-6.
    Personally, I prefer base-8. But that's me.

posted a message on Breaking "animation" on tools and armour
I'd like the items to have the change in appearance every 1/4th durability level, honestly.
And that could pave the way for items to behave in other ways, such as having tools become slower as they wear out, or letting a blade become dull.
As for the armor, the block-break animation works fairly well for that. I'd suggest that, instead of just overlaying the animation, have the armor get holes in it--use the block-break animation as a pattern for cracks to appear in the chestplate.
Or, for bonus points, give armor custom textures for every 1/4th durability level, just like items.

I'm probably not gonna help much with this, but "I can" and "I should" should probably be suffixes based on the adjective for good, i.e. -fan for "I can" and -fal for "I should".
This means that "I should make a fish hut" becomes "O keftfal sahlepp". Honestly, that seems to not really flow off the tongue very well, but I'm sure you can think of something that will prevent things from getting too unwieldy.
